Great game with friends over voice chat. Terrible in matchmaking/public games. People quitting if they don't get imposter, people throwing (ghost not doing tasks for instance) because they get mad. Just people being ignorant.

To start, I'm not a hunter.....

That said, I enjoy periodically trying these type of games out. The tension and beautiful vista's that you can get are second to none and the gameplay of actually tracking down prey is fun.

But these type of games are usually bargain bin trash....

theHunter caught my eye as it's one of the few that have multi-player. So I gave it a spin as free-to-play.

The "Free-to-Play" at best can be described as a really well thought out demo. You are allowed only one type of animal out the box (you can hunt mule deer and cottontail rabbit, but without the right gun, your rabbits won't count). and though you can visit all the reserves, only one is viable to play on. You in theory can go and play this game and earn everything you need without spending a dime, but it's a pain in the rear!

All that said however, I am enjoying this game. It is one of the more realistic experiences I have gotten to have playing this sort of game. I am currently 9 hours in without spending any money and I am considering subbing if i can get a friend or two of mine to start playing.

Give it a try, but wait to spend any money, as mileage may vary.

Like taking Madden from the ESPN presentation and putting it on PBS, there is very little presentation. The few amount of golfers and clothing customization and no different brands of clubs to speak and a narrator that sounds like it's the Mystery Science Theatere of golf. So don't come in looking for a great looking or presentation game....

If however, you want good golf physics with an amazing golf course creator/editor and procedurally generated courses therefore making limitless possibilities for holes....then this is the right place.
