How in the ♥♥♥♥ have I not written a review for the game that's changed my brain chemistry forever?

I adore Inscryption to bits and pieces. This game has done wonders for how I think about characters, I was there for every ARG related piece of media and while I am sad to say good bye to some of my favorite characters in fiction, Inscryption really has it all.

It has a great set of mechanics and easy to learn combat, it has fun and interesting characters who have such wonderful personalities, and I really wish we just got more. I love every character and I love every world this game explores and goes through, even the end, and I simply wish I had more time with them.

That said, however, time is fleeting, and sadly, I can only return, not discover more.

I cannot wait for Pony Island 2: Panda Circus and where ever Daniel Mullins takes his complicated lore next (Though, preferrably with less references to historical german figures, please.)

Oh my god I actually love this game. I found it when ManlyBadassHero played the game originally, so I was able to vet and make sure the horror wasn't anything personally triggering to me.

I love how this game works, I love the rogue like nature. I have barely scratched the surface of this game and I love the themes and ideas already, even if I am still a tad clueless about the story so far. I hope to figure out the narrative as I go, and enjoy more of the mechanics because it's so seamless and fun to get runs going, especially when you don't ♥♥♥♥ yourself over instantly because you use all your items on accident (guilty).

I can tell this game's going to become a hyperfixation. I can feel it in my brain.

The characters in this game are wonderful and the story has a lot to say on things going on in the world right now. IT tells a story about fear, and what that fear drives people to do, and how the only way to push past that fear is each other.

It's a breath of fresh air with how it doesn't shy away from letting its characters form relationships, it lets there be a wonderful array of gender queerness that I don't get to see in titles that pick up steam. Great God Grove is special to me in a way I can't explain, but would always recommend.

I didn't play Smile for Me, the other game by this developer, but there's just a whimsy to their game that is only really obvious when you play the game yourself. It reminds me of the games I would play as a younger kid and how the world would seem so vast while still being so close.

I would recommend this game at full price, no hesitation. It even more fun when you hold a friend hostage to help read the characters dialogue. (thank u Okami <3)

10/10, easily. I cannot express my love for this game enough.

What can I say about Cryptmaster that hasn't already been said?

It's just a clever method of spinning the DnD format, I love the personality of the characters and the world they live in - I grew really attached to the heroes through learning about them and I enjoyed everything this game had to offer. I spent far more time struggling on remembering what a blanket was than I want to admit, but it's so clever and well made and I adore the art style.

The Devs are super sweet and very understanding if you make mistakes - I had an issue where I goofed up my save file and they resolved the issue and got back to me right away. It really helped me enjoy the game more.

If you enjoy remembering how to spell, I HIGHLY recommend Cryptmaster. 10/10

I *LOVE* this game.

I miss a lot of the days of TF2 prophunt, and Gmod prophunt - but this game not only makes those dreams a reality, but it also pulls those ghost hunter vibes of other games all while making its own statement. This game is all I've ever wanted from a team based game - a little working together, a lot of joking and laughter, and a fun, wonderfully done aesthetic. They did not skimp a bit on the level design or the prop design and it SHOWS in every detail in the game - even if you got to play it on potato quality like I do, it's still really wonderful and none of the props feel out of place even if you move around.

The gameplay is balanced and fun, you don't really run into a lot of issues of people being "better" since the equipment is all sidegrades and never upgrades, so you're never pressured to have everything unlocked and you can go at your own pace. The cosmetics are designed wonderfully, I love all the emotes, and I cannot *WAIT* to see what updates they bring to the game, be it new maps, new skins or new weapons.

It's really hard to make a game that doesn't make you made when you lose, or feel like its the game's fault if you die - but the devs did it perfectly.

My honest to god ONLY complaint is that I think ghosts who have died before midnight should be allowed to pick up tape cassettes if they're found, just so you don't lose a song you want, but even then that's such a minor complaint that it's not even something I'd bring up without digging in my brain.

TLDR; If you love Prophunt in TF2, Gmod, or other games, get it. If you like Phasmophobia, and want to branch out, get it. If you've always wanted to play prophunt but never got the chance, this is the game for you.

ESPECIALLY if it's on sale. I wish I would have been able to buy the backer DLC.
