Nearly peed myself laughing within the first hour of playing.

Absolute masterpiece.

Remnant was my first hardcore souls like game which I played on nightmare difficulty as my first playthrough along with my partner. I dumped hours and almost literal tears into as I spent so much time getting over the learning curve of such a game, I come from fps and mmos with boss fight mechanics, but dodging mechanics were mostly new. There were times we had to call it a night after dying multiple times to reset our mental fortitude. Sadly, I don't think there was a single boss that actually felt difficult to beat on nightmare as there had been in Remnant From the Ashes. Nor did any of the bosses that took me and my partner over an hour to kill give any gratification of killing as the first game had, Ixillis and the Warden being fond memories of anger and frustration and absolute joy when we finally killed them. We even replayed the first game right before the second one came out in excitement, even in that playthrough we were met with new bosses that were challenging. There just isn't something as unique about the second one as there was the first one, and yet I can't really put my finger on it. I also miss the trait aspect of the first game. Not to mention I hate the absolute ♥♥♥♥ show that is your inventory. I don't even look at half of the stuff I pick up because there is literally so much of it. The rings and amulets felt like a downgrade from the first game. My favorite part of this game was the Winston gun, that's really the only enjoyment I've gotten from this game.
