Very fun game, but that's mainly because the modding community keeps it alive. The vanilla game is rarely updated. Also it seems there's a ton of drama with the production of the base game??? IDK much but be sure to research that situation if you worry about what kind of people your money is going to.
I'd recommend it, but only if you're planning on getting a ridiculous amount of mods once you've gotten the hang of the base game.
