Absolutely the best Tower Defense game out there, and even calling it "Tower Defense" seems to sell it short. The RPG elements can't be overstated; they give you a reason to care about your "towers". The character writing is chuckle-worty at times, and the story, while it's not Oscar worthy, is very good. I've been looking for a "play a round or two at a time" game to play, and Defender's Quest fit that perfectly (except I would end up playing "just one more" more often than not). I can't wait for the second game.

One of those rare platformers that is incredibly difficult, but is actually fun enough to keep me coming back to try and beat levels. Each time I finish a level (or a particular sequence on a level) I actually feel accomplished.
