20 years on, and still the best game of all time.

Could use some patches to polish its rough edges, but Riven 2024 is a marvelously realized vision of my childhood dreams.

Amnesia has had its ups and downs as a series, but The Bunker is perhaps the best entry to date. While small in scope, its replayability and the dynamic behavior of the AI keeps the game interesting. The Halloween 2023 update further improved the game by allowing players to tweak every aspect of the difficulty.

Surprisingly addictive despite its simplicity.

Cyan has beautifully recreated a classic for flatscreen and VR, and has shown to be dedicated to implementing community feedback. It surpasses the previous 3D versions. Myst has never been more accessible, or mesmerizing, than this release.

Does everything it needs to do to "nudge" the Half-Life franchise back onto its feet.

The bottom line is that this should not cost anything. There are much better Portal 2 mods that are free, with much more care put into them.

The writing and voice acting is poor. It was clearly written and performed without self-awareness. I ended up just turning the volume off so I could play in peace.

Most of the puzzles are fine, up until the last few which are easily broken, or require you to perform feats that are not taught in simpler levels.

Play Portal Stories: Mel instead.

Betrayer is the kind of game that isn't easy to classify. It has shooting, exploration, excellent written dialogue, and horror. It is tied together with some unique gameplay elements such as navigating a mirror world with nothing but sound to lead you toward your next objective. If you have ever wanted a game that heavily focuses on vast rural, forested environments, this is well worth a look. The atmosphere and mood is haunting. I haven't played anything quite like this curious, unassuming diamond in the rough.
