They charge money for bigger stashes, so I almost gave it a thumbs-down

I keep coming back to this game. I have yet to find another with this combination of hit chances and turn-based combat, with cover and movement on a square grid. It feels like high-tech D&D sometimes.

I have to be honest, I got this game and almost every DLC for $6 American. That being said, it is a lot of fun, but the terrain seems to be your enemy and it gets old after a while. That being said, I'll still leave it as a recommended.

Absolutely fantastic, in every sense of the word!

Took a long time to get everything in the game, and yet I wish there was more... maybe at least a steam workshop?

I actually have a lot more hours than 56, and have been playing for over two years. This game is absolutely fantastic, and is especially good for playing with friends :)

First off, this game is free. FREE! I would have paid $10 for this happily!
And of course, free means pay-to-win, right? WRONG! There is little to no pay-to-win if you play long enough :D

Second, the devs actually care. They really do listen to feedback. Granted, they almost exclusively look at high ranks for feedback, but they do look at some of the player base!

I have spent a very long time deliberating over this review, mainly because this game has both fantastic parts and deplorable parts. At this point, I will provide those parts.

THE GOOD STUFF
-The game is complex and really, really, really fun. There are literally thousands of possible decks to make, and they provide many options for decks that are both fun and viable.
-I like the voicelines
-The stories are really spectacular ways to expand the single-player aspect of the game, and in fact the game in general.

THE BAD STUFF
-The biggest complaint that I have is simple: the game is abandoned, Bethesda, the horrible company that they are, decided to just drop the game, right after a patch that upset the game balance severely. In other words, no real evolving meta, no updates, no NOTHING.
-The game is super grindy. Yes, you can get absolutely everything free-to-play, but the game makes it extremely hard to start off. You get almost no cards with almost no synergy, so you are largely just grinding daily quests for gold so you can get cards to make actually viable decks.
-The stories, when introduced, included all kinds of really cool mechanics: different lane types, special supports, all kinds of cool stuff. This never made its way to multiplayer. I wouldn't expect it in ranked, but you cant even do a custom match with them. It's story or nothing.

TL;DR: Fantastic game with a lot of decent SP options and a lot of variety, but the game has been abandoned and is very grindy at times.

The base game alone has so much content, I feel bad getting it for $1. The DLC, however, tend to feel overpriced when compared to how much you get for the main game. All in all, love the game, got every DLC, definitely recommend.

This is an absolutely fantastic game. I highly recommend to anyone who likes building, wiring, aesthetics, platforming, harvesting, and small cute bunnies :)

Fantastic platformer, but be ready to rage! It's very difficult!
