I cannot recommend this at its base price. If you get it with the intention to play the cataclysm difficulty or the weaves with your friends be aware that they will need a copy too or you can't.

This content would be fine if it weren't so pricey and if the whole party didn't need it in order to play cataclysm.

A pretty okay doom-like. Some really nice level design and weapons that feel good to use. The roster of enemies are a little bit on the less interesting side mostly just doppelgangers of the classic doom badguys but that's all right. Game got a level designer I havent really fiddled around with yet but it'll be exciting to see what maps the community makes. I think my only real big complaint is the weird checkpoint system, it's really just a respawn system, your progress in the level doesn't get set back or anything on death so there's no like real urgency to actually try too hard to stay alive, maybe having limited lives per level would be a good thing to implement to give that sense of urgency or w/e.

anyway it good, look forward to seeing how it develops

If this game released 10 years ago it would have been a hit. Extremely average fps, recommend getting it only when it goes on sale.

Really fun physics/destruction sandbox. Has campaign missions that's all about creating the most efficient route you can think of to complete objectives. You got all the prep time in the world but once you start an objective you have a limited time to complete them all and escape. Has a sandbox mode too if all you want to do is break and mess around with stuff.

Super recommend even in it's early access state


also i really hope the devs don't cave to folks crying about the time limits, i'm as stupid as they come but if i can figure out how to path my way through most these missions im sure yall can too.

This is probably one of the most frustrating games I've ever played in recent years but I am having trouble putting it down.

There's just so much of it that I hate, so many annoying little things, so much tedium but I can't stop playing it because there are little bits of genius in here, really wonderful moments but they're so few and far between all the slow animations, the drunken way you control arthur and all the horse riding and talking you do. I hate how all your actions are tied to single buttons so I'm always doing stupid ♥♥♥♥ like pulling guns out at people when i just want to talk to someone and i on accident strangled someone when all i wanted to do was pick a damn flower.
