Very lovely game, if a bit gruesome, in a very very cartoony way.

Need way more, finished all of the levels and achievements in two hours.

Would happily pay for a bigger version with, say, level editor and bigger story <3

00s have walked in and slapped me in the face with this

Also the demo is good and it gives you PLENTY of stuff to play around with and get a feel for the game

It's basically a less in-depth DF but with much, much more visual polish. Hell, it has shadows and normal maps for all your top down stuff to get lit up by the campfire and such.

Building is mostly "designate areas, put a bit of furniture inside". You can select the generic "wood", "stone" and so, but there's no real details as to what these are. Like it's just stone, just wood. No in-depth material system. Mentioning it as a comparison to other games, it feels fine within it

Also has multiple playable races! Right out of the box, and pretty different ones. Heck, the tutorial doesn't even start with humans.

Absolutely amazing indie 3D platformer with a very nice looking character~ Seriously, absolutely love the look of this "goat-bunny-cat lady" :P And the music is really nice! Definitely adds even more to the atmosphere and aesthetics

If you don't mind it being 3D, highly recommend checking it out!

10/10 would use a steam whistle or cause a vacuum by cooling the engine down when sealed again

Never knew you could have stealth done with entire ships

But hey, honestly, I am not here because of stealth. I absolutely love the way this looks, the various little notes, how the UI gets shown (and how notes get thrown in the world). The aesthetic value of this for me is quite high, and I haven't even gotten too far in yet :D

Another interesting aspect is the universe itself. You don't really get it explained much, just get thrown right in through a bunch of sims and into missions. But the helpful "what's this" sorta button is always there to explain what's up... Like what the heck is this area full of emplacements.

Also, sneaky drifting controls that just come up naturally as you mess around with the movement mechanics. Also, ability to evade things really makes it feel much more satisfying to play. You don't just grind a single level, hovering on a reset button, but you try to work around what you got... And if all else fails, extract! Just uh, don't do that right in the middle of an enemy base as they chase you :P

Nice and relaxing little game. Definitely enjoyed it!

Did not realize that the goal is only to cover SOME of the island, not all of it. Was a nice surprise!

Would love to see some extra interactions between biomes, and maybe some new/advanced things later on?

Missing WASD movement, as it's mouse only :C

It is a rather new game but it is already pretty solid - if you don't mess up with a few things. After playing the demo, I was quite confused on how to get rid of the slime (hint: SHOVEL! NOT THE HOE) and running out of any copper...

But yeah, a solid top-down sandbox-rpg game, with a feel not unlike that of Terraria. Definitely more towards Terraria than Minecraft :D Especially with the bosses (what did YOU think those totems are?) Make sure to be extremely prepared for them!

Farewell, and may you burn in whatever void.

Transphobic built-in global chat (that nonetheless enforces english-only rule, very global of you) where moderation will kick (which is shown as a temporary "ban", hooray IRC) you out of the chat for saying you are gay or trans. Will then claim that discussion about gender is disruptive due to being one of prohibited: sexuality, politics or fetish. Disgusting.

Also like half of the mods are just broken because they are hosted on awful image hosts, making it hard to play anything not actively played in lobbies.

A very lovely and absolutely adorable indie game that is very well made. It isn't aiming to be visually stunning, or have some fancy things going on, but every single part of it feels like it is made with love and with awareness of what will be perfectly fine.

It is a platformer, but feels a bit like a metroidvania. And instead of actual platforms, bets are that you will spend most of your time crafting your own "platforms" of webs. If anything, it reminds me of Ori series, with a huge emphasis on breaking away from "move left/right, jump sometimes" that both do. And comparing to Ori further, it reminds me of Bash from first game, and the Grapple from the second one!

The music is very nice, and I chuckled when I heard what happens to it when you go into water. Though I am still confused as to what are conditions for it to start quieting down during gameplay! It feels somewhat jarring at times.

The controls are pretty nice, with movement on the web being perfectly smooth and there being no special buttons to hold to it, to move between strands, etc! A very intuitive design. But of course all web things are done with mouse. It works fine, but sometimes I wish it was a bit more specific. The current control scheme makes your spider shoot things towards the aimed position, highlighting where the strand will anchor to, which is direct line of sight to your cursor until it collides with something. Sometimes wish it did something like, say, using normals to instead make the strand land on the same X/Y position that you are aiming at?

Works very smoothly on my Archlinux install through Proton, but sadly crashes randomly for me with no error boxes (have not checked the output yet, sorry!), and for some reason the mouse cursor drifts a bit up when in game, except for main & pause menus.

But overall, dunno, solid 9/10? :D

10/10 would hack to get into credits again.

But being serious, it's an awesome game. Even though it is somewhat frustrating to lose your lovely weapon that obliterates everything you encounter after stepping into a tiny puddle of toxic water, it is not THAT frustrating. Perfect balance of having death suck in the game, but not being punishing enough to cause one to lose any motivation to play. Something I felt was missing in stuff like Gungeon.

Another big thing in Noita is that it is not the kind of roguelike that railroads you down directly to the boss to win the game. Sure, you can go do that.. or you can consider, what's there beyond the obvious cave that the game wants you to go. Or maybe there's something that is not down but to the side of the caves you lurk in? It's an amazing experience of discovery, that there's more than JUST the roguelike dungeon to explore. And even then, you are free to blow the hell up from just about anything, including the shop! Just beware of the consequences...

TLDR: Very open roguelite with instant respawn and easy deaths. No persistence of things though, but it's more than fine without it.
