Its very good, there are minor things I would change, and I understand the criticism that gelba is a challenge, but the only real criticism I have is of the extreme lategame. The shattered planet is a bit of a letdown. That being said, if you like factorio this is a must have

The story is interesting, the puzzles are pretty good, and its such a unique way to tell a story. But why is the protagonist SO HORNY?! its jarring when it happens

I got the demo and didn't think this game was for me. I was so wrong.

This is the most engaging city builder I've ever played. It never really feels like there is "downtime" or waiting around except at the very end when you've had a successful run. It implements the mazlowe hierarchy of needs in a realistic and fun way. Best of all, the sessions are pretty short and airtight. You restart your city after about 2 hours of optimization, which allows for a very intense experience where you're only really playing the best parts of the game, not getting into the super late part of most management games were its just tiny tweaks and idleness.

I played through the entire campaign on normal difficulty. The game is simply rather bland in 2024. Once you unlock the healing ability, most fights become rather trivial, except for the ones that aren't, which generally involve charging enemies you can only damage in the back. I found myself just wanting to get to the end for the last few missions. The controls on controller especially were very strange, having to tap left left and then left trigger to heal seems like a cool "spellcasting" mechanic at first, but when the game doesn't read your intent right and fires your entire shotgun clip instead it becomes very frustrating.

Overall I don't recommend it, if you really want to play it, get it on sale for sure.

I seriously think this is the closest we can come to a dnd experience as a video game. There are very few scenarios where I've done things that developers didn't think of, and when I did, it feels more like they just couldn't implement a solution to that problem specifically. The only real downside I've found is that in act 3 thers a lot of dialog from random townspeople that doesn't go anywhere, but it sounds super interesting, which makes act 3 feel a lot less alive. It should frankly feel more alive because you finally make it to a larger city and then to baldur's gate itself but regardless tha game is fantastic.

A really fun game, it fulfills the fantasy of being a speedrunner, which is something I didn't know that I wanted

Don't go into this expecting rimworld or another similar game, This game is very much its own thing.

Its just really good and complex. Its so much fun and so detailed.
