I was excited to get one of these, even thought I waited for a sale... and I was disappointed. The face button placement is awkward, the back-buttons are too difficult to use and prone to screwing you up when you press them by accident, and the controller is too big to use the face buttons and the shoulder button at the same time. It was alright for slow games, but I could do most of those with a mouse and keyboard. Action games? No good. Going back to my PS3 controller and putting the Steam Controller on the shelf for when I need an extra I can foist off on whoever I want to lose.

Rather enjoyable, if stressful. You're constantly riding the edge of defeat... when you don't tip over.

Or, you can play on easy and only have minor crises to deal with.
