Immensely unoptimized, game runs like literal trash, lots of graphical bugs.

Also, after the latest Nvidia GPU update, the game crashes after 5 minutes of playtime. This will be the last time I will ever buy anything from Sony. Every single time it's the same story.

GOTY. Absolute banger of a game

People call this a well made remaster, but for me, having played AOE 1/2 Remaster, this feel atrocious.

CONS:

-Horrendous voices. Literally this is the most negative aspect of the game. I cannot understand why the F*** have they replaced the voice lines in the campaign. 95% of the voices are new and worse in every way. Characters feel shallow, boring, sounds like actors were forced to do these voice lines in a day, to get it over with. Also, lots of background sounds/songs from the cut scenes are removed.

-Lots of visual and audio bugs

-Game feels laggier, is not as fast and snappy as the original

-The game as a whole feels like it's in Early Access. Tons of bugs. Some of them are gamebreaking. The most annoying I've found so far, it won't let me reload any campaign savegame, not even autosaves made the game itself.

-They've replaced a lot of things and made them more AI/Cartoonish and sometimes it feels like a mobile game. Also, they slap that AOE4 UI to every freakin' new release and it's just so bad.



PROS:

-Very good units remodel, they look 10x better now

-New Major Gods, new minor gods, lots of re-balances/reworks, gameplay-wise, it feels fresh

There are 10 other bullet hells on steam which are much more enjoyable than this. The main purpose of these kind of games is to get stronger and stronger, in order to kill lots of enemies, as fast as possible. This game fails to achieve this idea and every run feels like a chore. Run from monsters, collect xp, collect gold, collect nitra, collect gems, clear supply pod area, complete second objectives, find artifacts, all while trying to kill monsters in order to upgrade your weapons. The problem with this? This game never ever reaches the point of « one-shot screen delete » as in other bullet hells. All weapons are underpowered as hell, on higher difficulties you literally play a dark souls game, as getting hit 2-3 times kills you. All of these while battling RNG to find the right upgrades, to make your build work. I’m sorry to say this, but this game is not fun at all.

This is a rage review as the game got to my limits. I got over some small bugs and crap mechanics placed to make the game a bit more difficult, but no way in hell can I get over the major bugs, the tedious story, and the thing that got to my nerves, the photo-capture mechanics. Spent 10 minutes trying to get the main&secondary objectives in one frame. Every single time, the game Failed my attempts for literally 0 reasons.

Good game, but devs are scummy and releasing dlcs with 2-3 hours of extra playtime worth as much as the game. So basically you pay twice the original price to finish the game.

One of the best ARPG in existence, free to play, with constant free updates. Unfortunately it is also one of the most difficult games to get into without external help. Being so unforgiving on new players, with zero help and tons of unexplained mechanics, makes me want to give this one a thumbs down.

The best redemption arc developer in history.

This game has had a lot of updates since it's release in 2013, and is very unforgiving on new players. You are being bombarded with 100 different mechanics and customizations, and you literally have no idea what you are supposed to do.

A really good Open World with some survival elements. After 3 full gamethroughs, I can say that I enjoy it a lot.
Pros:
-a beautifully crafted world with different biomes and enemies.
-the nature is super immersive and looks top notch
-In-game music is very good
-enemies are cool and have well-made voice-lines
-by far the best base design I've ever seen in an Open Word/Survival/Craft. By the end of the game, when you have everything unlocked, you can absolutely create some wonders

Cons:
-this game is a cRPG in every way possible. There is no XP, no character development, the only progression is based on getting better gear. Like literally if you don't have the required gear, you have ZERO chance to beat a high level boss. The game nerfs you to the ground for no reason. This makes the game super linear and gives you no real choice.
-the game mechanics are focused around the "MMO" part. It's like a Rust game with vampires. If you play solo, everything seems a bit bland. Especially the end-game content is absolutelly useless for the solo/co-op private players. I wish they had more end-game content for solos.

All in all a really cool game for the price, with lots of content and I definitely recommend it to those that enjoy this genre.
