Oddly enough, I keep coming back to this little 2D shooter every now and then. Well made, no obligations, I play for 10 minutes and I'm out. It scratches the itch that I sometimes get for this type of gameplay. Worth trying!

Logistics for days. Quite a fun optimization challenge.

Buy the game. It's amazing. I've spent upwards of thousands of hours outside of the Steam version. It's more than worth your time.

In short: as of 2022 SimplePlanes is a CAD-Sandbox-Programming-All-In-One package deal with endless possibility. If you can think of it, you can probably make it in SimplePlanes and have a heck of a lot of fun doing it. I always feel grateful towards the developers for such a fantastic software with endless, simply endless replay and educational value, and for striving to continually improve the game.

When I first started playing in 2015, it was simple sandbox game where I merely downloaded the many creations available online. I particularly remember a certain Millenium Falcon as a craft that I particularly enjoyed flying around the map with.

Time came and went, and so did my interests, but SimplePlanes stuck. Despite being something I picked up as an afterthought during that one game shopping night in 2015, time after time I could not stop myself from coming back and messing with part properties once again to make some new mechanical contraption.

When I decided to start publishing my creations, the game once again expanded its horizons. I found myself polishing, fine-tuning, stress-testing my machines and uploading them for all the community to pick apart and have fun with.

It's unbelievable how many hours I spent just doing things in this game. Once Funky Trees hit, it completely changed everything. I raced to understand and master this new system, and it was then that programming finally clicked for me. Fast forward a couple years, and I've made it into engineering school with my experience with this game on my resume. What's more, I've found some of my closest online mates, and still endless fun in this game.

For the tiny price tag this game has, the value I've extracted from it is far beyond what I can even possibly think of, and if you're hesitant, I highly recommend you grab a copy and just shoot me a message, and I'll probably be ready to help you out with getting started.

All in all, SimplePlanes is unparalleled and unchallenged in its niche of an anything simulator. If I didn't make it clear enough, all I want to say is that you really should buy it.

I definitely do not have this game in my library. I have not played this game. Definitely not.
