Good metroidvania that falls into the pit of having a world map that is just big enough to be annoying to traverse. I dont want to give a negative review, as it's more of a "meh" for me.

Y'all are years behind your kickstarter promises. chapter two of the story mode was supposed to be out how many years ago? The story mode was supposed to be done how many years ago? Texas was supposed to be released how many years ago?

And now with the last two characters out, especially with one barely working c'mon guys.

I know The publishers are part of why baihe flopped so hard, but this isnt a new problem. This game has been broken every step of the way. Every major update has been completely busted on launch, to the point where there was no way 1.0 even got tested as story mode was literally unplayable, so I'm pretty sure that there is still a lot of blame to be placed on mane6's heads. They have completely bungled this project from the start.

And I still havent gotten my 6 pieces of paper! And my controller still doesnt work!

Most of us who were playing before the move to steam have been playing for years, and have thousands of hours in the game.

Trimps truly belongs among the greatest of incremental games.

Bland beat em up with uninspired random levels.

Don't listen to the bad reviews, the games amazing, and they're just salty the game changes it's art style a couple times.

Otherwise if you know who the dev is, it might be his best work yet.

Literally the worst game I've ever played. It cant decide if it wants to be a shooter or a survival horror game, so it tries to be both. And thus it fails at both. The game *technically* adds more to the story, but only if you care about the also terrible anime that they also released.

It is also an action game that needs to interrupt you every three seconds with some sort of splash screen. No real reason why the game constantly needs to pause.

Overall, it has more than a laundry list of issues.

I wish steam had a middle option for this game. I like it, I have fun with it, I know im gonna keep playing it, but theres better options.

I'm gonna start with, this game is fun, especially with friends! Need a great little coop rogue-like for you and your friends to play? Great choice!

However, Risk of Rain 1 still does exist, and is the reason i'm giving this a negative review. It does nearly everything this game does, but better. To me the biggest difference that really matters is death. In ROR1, every single death felt like my fault. I jumped into the laser, I stayed in the item screen for too long, everything was my fault, even though I was getting one shot. However, in ROR2, not a single death has felt like my fault. Got lit on fire? Welp, unless you have the one item that gets rid of status effects, time to die! Enemies behind you that you cant see? Too bad, get sniped in the back of the head!

They also made glass useless in this game, which was easily the best part of ROR1, which like, why?

Solid gameplay with a barebones, but still quite useful, tutorial. No motion inputs which is pretty cool. And most importantly it has Rollback! You can actually play this game online! Now selling season passes with 3 characters each for ~$15? kinda scummy, but when the base game is 20, i can understand it a bit more than a $60 game wanting $30 dollar season passes.
