Great idea, but I'm afraid it's not something I'll spend time on hence the refund.
However I am going to give it a positive review as ironic as this may seem.

The art style is great, the idea is great, the execution has a few issues but overall I love the effort behind it. I'm sure people can find a lot of things in the game but since I don't see myself spending too much time on it I gotta refund it.

A few issues I noticed are lack of HUD during vehicles, making it difficult to see my vehicle health, lack of minimap which should be something fundamental in such game, and one other thing, when pausing while ingame, i accidentally clicked on "tutorial" and without a warning popup menu, it immediately loaded the tutorial making me lose the match I was in.

Such quality of life improvements should be taken care of. I'm still complimenting the work behind it and leaving a positive review.

The review will remain negative until the original three games get ported on PC as they are.

I'll do the necessary thing and ask for the ORIGINAL TRILOGY TO GET A PC PORT.
We don't care if it's outdated graphically and narrative. WE WANT IT.
Looks like Naughtydog hates money and making profit since they KNOW it will sell very well if they do it.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

I had a very good time playing it. Still not perfect, and it's been over a decade since I played the originals myself, so I don't know where I put it in the list. Everything felt very well put together and genuinely well designed.

  • Exploring the more open levels of the game was very fun and showed how much care and love was put into the makings of it.

  • The gunfights weren't the greatest part of the game but they were still decent as they were. Most of the times I would struggle to find ammo and I had to constantly get new guns here and there which I guess it's intentional.

  • The stealth was pretty straightforward, pretty much what we were used to in the mid 2010s not bad.

  • Climbing was cool, although the puzzle/gunfight/explore/climbing balance may be a bit off. I get how they wanted to focus more on exploring and narrative than gunfights and that's cool, but sometimes I felt like I was climbing way too long. That didn't bother me too much however, it was still a good time.

  • The very few complaints I have are some irritating problems like the hints not going away, a few minor gameplay inconveniences here and there but nothing major.

  • The story itself was pretty decent. With all the twists and character arcs and the characters having a satisfyingly complex dynamic felt quite good. Not much else to add. Just a cool decent story to go through and an interesting treasure hunt.

  • Finally the thunder flash was way too irritating. I know there's an epilepsy and photo sensitivity problem, and I have neither of these, but it was still quite annoying.

The Lost Legacy

Not finished yet.

Campaign only review. Didn't play or care about MP or ZM.

Surprisingly enough, this game was quite fun to go though. While not as good as the first BO campaign, it still delivered a very fun experience. Despite being short, having a bit too many dialogues and being quite slow at times, skipping parts and innovative design compensated for these flaws. And given the circumstances this game was made, I think we got more than enough. Raven once again showed their talent with this. Their work in the first MW remaster campaign and this showed their talent as a studio. Goes without saying that I loved the KGB mission and I was left very satisfied with most other references and gameplay tropes.

Overall pretty good. A 8.5/10 Campaign on my behalf.

Won't recommend buying it because at the time of this review, Activision deserves no money for their behavior towards fans and their treatment of the games.

Campaigns requiring internet connection is a joke. It's the death of game preservation. Campaigns never die exactly because they're not dependent on internet connection and other players. Meaning you can play them at any time, in any system as long as that system has backwards compatibility that can play the game. And yes that's mainly a PC thing.

As for the campaign itself... well there are things that I like, and there are things I don't like.
Don't care to elaborate. Good technical upgrade, artists and designers work is respected,
but I can't support a game that doesn't want itself to live on especially when it's a derivative of a derivative.

I don't care about Multiplayer.

Like many others, I feel inclined to request for my favorite C&C title RED ALERT 2 to be considered for a REMASTER sometime in the future. PLEASE consider doing this.

As for the C&C1 & RA1 Remasters, I was very pleased with them. Being primarily a Red Alert sub franchise fan, and almost never played any Tiberian game, this remastered kick butt. That's how you do remasters, with love, care and respect to the original. That can only happen when you have the original DEVELOPERS working on it. Unlike many other less than respected remasters out there...

I understand the artistic choice of the devs to stay in 2D so they keep the authenticity of the gameplay, and I am okay with it. I wouldn't mind if Red Alert 2 remasterd (if and when it comes) would keep the same style, although a 3D version of it would also be very welcome as long as it doesn't alienate the gameplay.

I played 64 hours so far and I currently have every achievement except the two hardest difficulty ones, which I don't plan on getting because I respect myself too much for it. Maybe I'll try to beat some missions on hardest but I won't sweat it too much.

As mentioned, I'm not really a Tiberian fan, while I like the Kane trops and the overall storyline, the setting itself is not something I prefer. However, I did play all Tiberian Dawn missions for the sake of the remaster and out of curiosity. They were pretty standard and fine. But I didn't love them.

But I played the F out of the Red Alert ones. I really prefer its setting and missions.

Now let's note a few of the good and bad of this according to my experience.

GOOD:

The ability to switch between HD and classic graphics is great.
The music jukebox works pretty well.
The gameplay is quite true to the original and genuinely fun if you like RTS C&C style, especially if you have nostalgia on the game.
Multiplayer works pretty fine.
The various quality of life improvements like the queued units and various hotkeys
and many more that I can't recall.

BAD:

I respect the attempts to make the cutscenes HD and I understand that even when upscaled, they may still seem a bit low quality.
Pathfinding can be very irritating at times. I'm sure there could be more time devoted to improving and fixing it's problematic nature.
The miners getting stuck very often and requiring you to have more refineries so they won't get stuck can be annoying.
Although having bright base colors for the skirmish/multiplayer players on the HD graphics is an interesting concept, I would prefer a classic color palette that resembles the washed out colors of PS1 Retaliation. That's more of a personal preference.
The hardest difficulty is extremely unbalanced and frustrating. Instead of having AI sending stronger attacks and playing smarter, the health and damage balance is changed against player. Sometimes it feels unbeatable and while it is challenging it's not the fun-type of challenge. I'm not a fan of that choice.

Epilogue:
Overall, great work, thanks for doing this for the community.
I really hope we get a GOOD Red Alert 2 Remaster someday.
Much respect.

Your update forced restart of my machine. We're working people, we don't want our work gone because of an update that is late 6 years. Don't do this again. Each update resets my settings and options. My resolution gets messed up and my windowed mode setting doesnt save after restarting game. This must be fixed.

Edit 2:
Dude, Loading. Joining server, please wait..
Takes forever. I can barely join any game. It can't be my net the game used to work fine.

Edit 1:
Good job on the fixes.

Old version:
Dani, fix the game. I had so much fun with it, but there are serious game-breaking and fun spoiling problems. Two major ones are HUD suddenly becoming invisible and unusable, usually during spectator mode or when chatting... casting players unable to even leave the game... AND WORSE, casting a playing player to freeze and not be able to move. Unforgivable bug. But most importantly, in the Color Battle Game, which is my favorite, when I have the lead by far, when timers is up, instead of the lowest one losing, My team lost... Reward the best player by eliminating them... really kills the fun. It didn't just happen once, it happened both when 4 single player teams and other combinations. Even if it was a one time code bug, which it isn't, it's an unforgivable one because it entirely destroys the game. Unless I'm missing a rule for it? Isn't the only rule just have more colored platforms than the other team when timer hits zero? Correct me if I'm wrong but that killed the fun. Fix these and I shall recommend the game.

Nitpicks, you textured most of the maps decently, what's with the unity's pro builder textures in some levels? Were they so hard to replace like you did in the rest of the game? It's not like a beta version because I see 1.0+. Sure it's not a serious game but come on...

Other than that, it's pretty fun. Fix the important problems I reported and I shall change the review. Unless it takes too long when I've stopped playing the game.

I've been playing this game a lot back in 2017-2018. I enjoyed watching it grow and evolve as a browser game. Yes lag was always a thing, sometimes more of a problem, sometimes less, sometimes not even present. It was understandable as it was a browser game on itself so it was natural that issues like that would appear. But now that it's added in steam as a game on itself, any of these problems, apart from the connection lag are unacceptable. When the game boots up in browser, it's natural to expect it to download the game files in your PC so it runs properly. Joining a game before everything is loaded is going to have bugs and missing assets. Why does this happen on steam version? Hasn't the game already got all the files in the game folder? It's unacceptable. I know it's still running a browser, but the assets should be there. The lag should be minimized as it wouldn't have to download all the assets each time. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when issues like that appear in such a simple game it feels really poorly optimized. Now, I do admire the effort and hard work put into this as, like I said, I've been following this game for years. But I'm afraid unplayability in a standalone steam version of a game with such simple graphics doesn't deserve a positive review. If this was caused only because of my net, I would know.
