I've been enjoying it, it's very similar to facebook games in that you gotta wait time for your plants to grow/animals to produce/etc, and time passes when the game is closed. But since the game is paid and there's no microtransactions I've been finding it pretty relaxing and chill. The one thing that I hate about it is I feel like there's not nearly enough farm decorations :C But there's a huge HUGE variety of animals and you can build your own areas for them (they can be penned in, you can decorate it, etc) and that's what I've been wanting for ages. I just want to build and decorate and spend time with my donkeys.

Early Access Review
The tutorial is only mildly helpful. but once you get the hang of it this game is addictive and very fun with friends.

I highly recommend opting in to the beta, the dev makes a lot of awesome updates/changes in it.

Early Access Review
Since there aren't many reviews here

Pros
-Farm managment automated priority based building sim
-Your hirlings are cute little animal/demon spirits
-Turn-based combat on a hex-grid for adventuring
-Relaxing and fun, I find the ability to automate and prioritize tasks make day-to-day management much less stressful, and when you get spirits/familiars you can delegate tasks to them
-You can have pangolins and huskies working for you

Cons
-English translation is not good
-UI isn't good imo, too complex and a bit buggy at times. Some UI elements aren't translated at all.
-Not a great tutorial, still have to figure out a lot on your own.
-No other villagers/relationship mechanic, if that's important to you

Truthfully, the game needs work, but I really do enjoy the core gameplay/gameplay loop and I think the concept is solid. I'll be following the game through EA as I've enjoyed my time playing a lot so far. I hope they expand it a lot because I could see myself sinking a ton of time into this game.

Changing my review to "no" in its current state-frequent updates seem to have stopped or paused and that definitely concerns me considering the state.

Early Access Review
A pokemon-clone that's inferior to pokemon mechanically, but I love all the designs and it fufills my desire for a monster catching/taming game. If you like pokemon, you'll enjoy it. For $10 you really can't go wrong.

I really enjoy a ton of things about this game. The artistic style of the game is incredible, proving how fantastic a game with a truly unique style can look without breaking the graphics card. I love the setting, I love the gameplay loop, and mod support has made this a game I keep going back to.

It can definitely be grindy, so if you're the type who gets board with grind or repetitive tasks, it might not be for you.

This game is still in early access. Unfortunately the devs had a mix up while submitting the game and Steam says they can't add the Early Access tag post-"release'. So if you don't buy EA games, pass on this for now.

However, I absolutely adore this game, even in its current state. Very relaxed and freeform-has quests which helps with those of us who tend to feel overwhelmed with a lack of direction. I love the 3D view (vs the flat pixel style of Stardew Valley for instance) and although the graphics are pretty simple I think they work really well in-game. I don't normally get EA games but I don't regret picking this up at all. There is a demo: here[danielsnd.itch.io], but it has been updated a lot since then so it's not exactly an accurate version of the game, but it's free so you have nothing to lose.

I can't believe how much I love FTK. It's really weird, I don't normally like rogue-likes but I adore this game. It feels like I'm playing a tabletop board game, but without all the hassle. I don't find myself getting bored at all and lose hours playing.

I really love the Lore Store and hope they keep adding new content.

This game has no reason to be as fun as it is

I don't agree with the decision to include the Bandit Clan dice, Listen Amulet, and the Squire Guppy card in this DLC. I think those should have been kept backer exclusive as they provide no advantage.

That said, I'm still thrilled to see them finally add Bandit Clan and allow them to be used in public multiplayer. I originally didn't back at the Bandit tier for the Kickstarter due to the exclusivity. I'm very glad they changed their minds. I'm glad they kept the price in line with the Usurper's DLC, as I was afraid they would charge more for this one.

Backed this game on Kickstarter, it's really come a long way. Armello is an absolute gem of a game. A digital board game featuring lovable animal characters trying to dethrone a corrupted king and claim the throne for their clan. Mechanics are well thought out, and the game is regularly updated with new and improved systems to add additional depth while not making the game overly complex or confusing. There are multiple ways to win, which helps keep a single person from dominating the match, though the game is quite RNG-based, relying on dice rolling for battles, card drawing, procedurally generated board, semi-randomized quests, and a few other mechanics. Sometimes even with excellent strategy, the luck of the draw can't be overcome.

Still, an excellent game I never get bored of.

Game length: 1-2 hours

Pros:
+ Beautiful and unique style and graphics featuring anthropomorphic animals
+ Great soundtrack
+ Procedurally generated board means every game will be different
+ Multiple ways to claim victory, to stop a single player from dominating and blocking others from winning
+ Interesting and unique systems for combat, bounties, and 'traps'
+ Each character has a unique hero power that makes them different from other heroes
+ Each hero can be further customized to your playstyle with a selection of rings (exclusive to clans) and amulets (available to all heros)
+ 'Microtransactions' handled very well and very positively for everyone. Dice skins can be found in chests and traded or sold on the Steam market, which the Devs get a cut of when an item sells on the market.
+ Updated fairly regularly with new and enhanced systems
+ Devs are very attentive to bugs and glitches and do their best to solve them as soon as they can
+ Promotes public play with a chest and key system, in which both chests AND keys drop
+ Custom rule settings for private games
+ Can play a single-player match while waiting for a game (though queues are rarely very long), tab on taskbar will flash when you find a game while queued is you don't want to play singleplayer

Cons:
- RNG-based, sometimes too much
- Some hero's powers are almost useless, while others are very powerful
- Private play doesn't give you keys or chests, making those who prefer to play only with friends unrewarded and left out (though the keys and chests only contain cosmetic dice skins, so it's not a mechanical disadvantage)
- Currently a set of 4 exclusive Kickstarter heroes, though anyone playing in a private game with someone who owns them can use them, they can only be used in private games, and the Devs have stated they will be released as DLC for anyone to purchase eventually
- Only way to communicate is through a set of 'commands', such as Hello, Good-bye, etc. No voice or text chat.
- DLC is a little pricey, especially in comparison to the full game (the set of 4 DLC heroes is $10, 2 board skins are $5).
