i booted the game up and immediately jumped into online play with no context whatsoever and had an absolute blast getting my butt kicked while figuring out the controls.

very intuitive and very fun. how could this be free? 3 DLC planned announced, i'm hoping for haachama.

it's an interesting concept and it has button remapping, so you can play it even with a switch controller if you like. the shop is cute and generally speaking the game has fun graphics. i really enjoyed the first boss's music. the games sound goes hard.

the negative was said before, it's a bit brutal. it did take me a full hour to get to that boss. and there's potential for trial and error to be a bit of a hassle. it's a very fun game, but there is no way i would pay $19.99 for it. i got this on the promotion. it's fun. but unless you are a fan of the devs already and want to support them, wait for a sale.

i genuinely want to see what else these devs will make!

I have nothing to say about the online matchmaking, that's not my expertise. It seems well done. However, the game is thoughtful enough to let you play local matches with the characters unlocked, and lab out characters against a dummy, which is the only true feature I ever wish for from a free to play experience.

The only true negative I can give is the UI is a little clunky for controllers and doesn't remember some settings between logins, like setting your input buffer every time.

play it if you're specifically bad at bayonetta, it's good in that sense

looked into the history briefly, it's a really devoted project that started as a mod of half life 2. nice going ! team of 11.

i wouldn't necessarily want to pay for it. i get the lack of run is a part of the character, however at the core of this game it's a visual novel, adding a speed option would really help the presentation, even if you only let it be there after one pass through.

i recommend it if you're really nerdy and have some knowledge about 80's and 90's gaming history

i love this game, and play it often with friends. it's a bit difficult to grasp at first, but it gets a lot easier
