Now that Immortal Empires has released, if feels like a complete game.

IE is everything anyone would want that enjoys Total War games. So many different factions to choose from and a huge, ambitious map make for a different play through every time you start a new game.

This will become my most played game on Steam, perhaps ever.

Yep, Total War is still among the best franchises in PC gaming.

Really liking the potential this game has. It feels like a deeper version of Sins of a Solar Empire, which is one of the greatest games ever created. The biggest thing I think that we can look to do for this game is support by purchasing it and giving suggestions to the developer to "flesh" out some the areas that are lacking. The only thing I would like to see is the battles from Sins ported into this game and it would be perfect!

I think that it is time for the Devs to finally state that they do not plan on actually ever making this into a playable game and give everyone that wants their money back to them. Otherwise I smell a class action lawsuit coming....

This game has a very steep learning curve but is well worth the time investment.

I would recommend that you start by watching youtube videos of the mechanics because of the lack of a good tutorial involved with this game. The next step would be to play some skirmish against the AI to get a feel of the game. From there you should probably venture into 4v4 or 10v10 games. I personally don't like 10v10 games as they are nothing but arty spam fest. As for game mode, Conquest is my personal favorite.

As for the community, this is where the game needs help. The main game chat hub is not moderated at all and is filled with nonsense. It really needs to be cleaned up but it is what it is right now. The other problem is that finding good, balanced games can be tough sometimes.

The developer for the most part is really good, I just have a slight problem with the recent DLC Nation Packs. My problem with them is that they feel more fleshed out then the OG Nations of the game and I would like to see these Nations balanced against the new Nations of the game. Overall though, they do a good job keeping things fairly balanced. I do wish that the series would have stayed in the European Theatre.

Lastly, I really wish that this game was looked at for competitive gaming. It has all the tools to get there, just needs a couple things. The first thing is to clean up the community and get rid of the cancer. Secondly we would need a few maps that offered a balanced match, so maps that mirrored each other on each side.
