As of writing this Im planning on doing a second playthrough some time in the future

If you're like me and only heard about metro through the Metro Exodus E3 announcement, so you bought both games and played them for context, you're going to love this one.

Compared to the last two games this is really the most "open world" I've seen in a linear shooter before, at some times it felt like I was in a better Fallout environment wise, the graphics aren't on the level of the Frostbite engine but they have gotten a massive over-haul, especially in a section where you spend time in "the valley", however its not just there , the game is beautiful at times and each map has its moments, especially at night, ill also add the day and night cycle is a much needed improvement, combine that with the random packs of mutants that spawn on the map really helps to keep this world alive in its own way, this helps them later on in the game really hammer home that an area is "dead" in one of the later levels

A Complaint I had in the last game was how Anna felt sort of forced, although I'm not sure if that's just a limit of the technology of the time, here her character is fleshed out much better since there's just more room for it and she feels more natural.
I loved the level of weapon variety and customization I found myself restarting levels just so I could get every kill as a stealth kill, similar to Batman Arkham.
My playthrough was on the normal difficulty level and the Survival mechanic has been vastly improved, vs the last game where you could potentially have 60 minutes worth of filters, they also introduced a crafting system to create your own med-packs instead of just hoping you find some which i really do like.

Everything they did here feels like a massive improvement, the game is a 9/10 for me, it would be a 10/10 if i had not encountered some rather annoying bugs, it is definitely worth the 60$, its such a shame a great game like this has to be out-shined by a poor publisher decision

Out of all the Arkham games this one has the best adaptation of an existing story line in my opinion
(I wont spoil it but it is one thats been told in the comics, though the whole arkham knight angle is new to it)

However the problem is the story is so reliant on the tank play with the batmobile it un-immerses you, the tank play itself is smooth, but there is FAR too many tank battles, it feels at times the story was structured to fit them, like somebody in the exec room wouldnt let it go, I had no problems with the other ways the game had you use the batmobile, such as climbing up walls and pulling them down but compared to the content that was just tank battles, it may as well not have been there, this game could have used more variety with the batmobile sections of the story so it didnt feel so draggy and reppetitive. Does it ruin it? no, but you do notice it and its impossible to avoid.
(Side note, to add that it was structured around tank play, you cannot use the DLC batmobiles unless the main story has been completed)

Combat feels like it has been polished, very easy to switch targeting of enemies there is a variety of ways to take them down
-Note: Do NOT play this on hard difficulty unless youre very good at cookie clicker, hard mode just means it takes more hits to bring them down, and on levels where they spam you with enemies, I had to pause the game to give my hand a break

The DLC content/skins and extra batmobiles are worth it only if you are a batman fan, by no means a ripoff but dont expect a whole lot, the suits we do get though are extremly well done (my personal favorite is the new 52 skin)

Minor things
-Batman Beyond suit is some weird paramilitary prototype, would much rather have the same one from arkham city that looked like the show
-1960s Robin suit, 1960s Batmobile, but no 1960s Adam West costume to match
-Story is very linear at times, will not allow you other ways of tackling problems other than the way it wants

The Saving grace for this game is the Story (the way they implemented the batman/joker dynamic into the game, with the joker being, dead, Was very clever and enjoyable, having joker around as I completed various objectives made the game so much more fun I almost didnt want to finish it.

I recommend this, but only if you are a fan of the Akham Series, as I do think its a worthy conclusion for the people wanting to see how the Arkham story ends, If I could give a numbers rating id say a 7.5 /10

As a long time fan of the SOULCALIBUR series since its days on the PS2 I have a somewhat mixed opinion on this game

Controls:
It uses a classic 2 handed keyboard fortmat similar to some old flash games on newgrounds, this is incredibly awkward at first, and im sure it can be ammended by changing the controls in settings but I have it set to default, the right hand controls provide basically serve as binds to preform combos, which used to be incredibly hard(for me) when it was on console when the only way to do so was memorizing button mashing, this would be fantastic if you didnt have to keep your 4 fingers on 7 buttons, it is managable however

Story:
Each character has their own story although some are shorter than others
HOWEVER
Unlike past idderations of the game where the story consisted of 70% fighting 30% narraration this flips it on its head meaning most of the stories are about 70% "cutscenes" with maybe 3 or 4 fights in between

Why is "Cut Scene" in quotes? because instead of an actual cutscene you get pictures ( that are incredibly well drawn might I add) and dialogue, and while nice to look at it comes off as a high quality dating simulator in terms of format.
Frankly I cant remember if the other games also did this for their story but I remember SC3 having some cinematics and Cutscenes that made the narroration not feel so, boring

Another point: While there are many different weapons in the game, they are not unlockable for the base character as in previous games and can only be obtaiable through the creator.

TLDR: Dont buy this for its story

Combat: This is one of the better aspects of this game, the visuals are fantastic, the move sets and combos can be extrimly spammable once you get used to the awkward controls. The Downside to that is if youre on the receiving end as there is really no way out without spamming block. The AI does pretty great when you fight on hard mode and managed to even beat me a few times which no SC game So far has been able to do for me

Character Creator: You remember back in 2015 when Fallout 4 came out and the build system seemed really detailed but made the story and everything else feel empty in comparison? Well this is exactly that, not that they did a terrible job with it though, at the time of me writing this review I have 12 hours in the game (With still uncompleted story) with 8 being in the creator, you can also share creations now which is another huge plus from me as ive already seen some funny ♥♥♥♥.

ALSO

They removed that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from SC5 where cosmetics were tied to stats, so you can make whoever you want now without worrying about that as everyones stats are fixed Which is a huge plus for me

Overall Opinion/ Is It Worth It?:
As an old school player whos been hyped for this since its announcment to PC? No, but its not esentially a rip off for 60$.
If youre an old fan like myself, youre not hurting yourself by getting it, Youre just getting a very, very bare bones SC
Its Definatly better than SC5, but not the one I would use to introduce new people to the franchise.

I will add however, the very bare bones game on top of making TIRA ( and 3 others to be announced ) DLC feels like just a cheap cash grab from BandaiNamco, For an arbitrary rating I could give it a 7/10, If it had Tria and no Shady DLC going on I would give it an 8/10, ill still recommend it because I do want to support their decision to bring it to PC.

The grind just isnt worth it for new players, plus theyre running out of ideas on what to add in gamer besides more "meh" weaponized vehicles. Youre not missing anything at this point, unless you have a modded account theres just no way for anyone to enjoy the game unless youyre one of those people who enjoys the grind

(GOING TO GIVE AN UNBIASED REVIEW)

Cutting to the chase I feel this game is worth the steam summer sale price of 12$
I did buy this in a bundle with The 2 previous games(Which I highly recommend the previous games)

Pros:
1. Takes place between 1 and 2
2.The parts of the game where you are on cybertron are graphically the same as the first 2, so pretty good
3.There are new transformers usable in the survival modes like hound,Zeta prime and about 20 others
4.Making the story tie into the movies had potential

Cons:

1.The parts of the game that take place on earth, with drift, grimlock and others look like they were ripped from a PS2 game, as in the map you were fighting on was basically a few buildings, a wall of textures that look like buildings surrounding you with obvious 2d trees and clouds behind them,The texturres on the transformers felt like I was playing Transformers the Game(2007)

2.This game Feels like It was made by the same people Who made the first 2, Then halft way through some 3rd party company came in with the idea of tieing it to the movie and di the earth parts on their own

3.Only 2 bosses in the game(both are very easy to kill even on hard mode)

4.Optimus primes sheild ability can be deployed as long as it needs to be and negates all damage, basically allowing the player to cheat

5. Last but not least, When this game decided to enter and tie into the movie universe, plenty of plotholes in the tie in emerge

Example, You get to play as grimlock and clearly ally to optimus and have to defeat lockdown(meaning hes still alive)
The final boss fight leaves lockdown alive, not taking place in china like in the movie, If grimlock in the movie was on lockdowns ship and had to be defeated by optimus to become allies, theoretically this entire plot line(in the earth part) would have to take place witthin the evens of the movie meaning this whole thing would have to have lasted like 1 hour

That personally bugged me,maybe other people not so much

OVERALL: for the steam sale price and 8 hours of gameplay its worth it, but not 50$
The first 2 games were fun and worth the money, This game did good for the part that took place on cybertron, I feel highmoon studios can do better, Id be open to tying this game series into the movies if the cons listed above were fixed

TLDR: cons outweigh the pros but for 12$ you get your moneys worth

Only giving this game a positive review because I want to encourage the makers of this game to revive it

\/ WARNING READ BEFORE YOU BUY \/

going to cut to the chase, as im writing this I have a refund for it pending

Pros:
Multiplayer isnt dead
Remember it being fun when I had this on ps3
Campaign was alright

Cons:
1.,Zombies Is 95% dead, I have 46 minutes in the game so far with 70% of that being idle time waiting for players
2.Couldnt get more than 2 peopls in a lobby accept once with 3 and once with 4
3.The only modes on multiplayer not dead are TDM and a few others , Party Games Is dead
4.Price is still too high for this game even in summer sale

OverAll
:Black ops 2 was fun when It had people on it , i even bought the season pass for it on ps3 and loved every minute of it, But unfortunatly The zombies is 95% dead so unless you like going solo, Iwouldnt recommend buying it for the zombies
The multiplayer isnt Dead but some parts of it are The campaign I cant remember much of

TLDR: Was fun when people were on it , I wouldnt spend more than 10$ on it

Im going to give this a positive review because I did enjoy it when people were on it
