Doesn't matter. Get this. You'll either love it and dive into the nostalgia, or you'll suddenly realize you actually loved these games all along.

Just plain fun from screen 1.

Precise controls, fair challenge and really fun platforming. It's chibi ninja gaiden without the controller tossing level of frustration. Like most of seeps games, it's an absolute steal. Skip that sugary coffee and grab a ninja instead.

get into game last night, just me and my random pal. we run around shooting ♥♥♥♥, covering each others backs. team up against the tangleball boss, wreck him. we wave our guns at each other in salute. moving forward we find ourselves at the twisted mask guy, I talk to him, "hand over your mask", "no", "HAND IT OVER" dude pulls his gat and starts blasting me, squad seems confused by this since he seems like a peaceful merchant but after a second he pulls his pistol and I spray him with submachine gun death. we get the twisted mask. squad is now twisted mask squad.

we keep rolling until we get to root smaug. root smaug pushes our sh*t in. we try again. get our sh*t pushed in again. next time a third homie joins the squad. cowboy homie is strapped with a shotty. we head in and try again. we get our sh*t pushed in. we wake up at the crystal, wave our guns at each other and we coordinate like a MF. I roll from building to building and we take turns attacking and picking off the small fry. get rektd root smaug. we roll in celebration and head on for a little while longer until we hit a tower and my game freezes. GG twisted mask homie.

9/10. fix the crashes and this is the best online co-op I've ever played and it's not even close. it's what red dead 2 online should have been. and speaking of red dead, the shooting mechanics are just like that. except more polished and responsive. gunplay is FUN. seriously. I must have shot a 1000 little balls of sh*t and it literally never got old.

let me be clear, I HATE online gaming. single player is my jam. but this is on another level. just pure simple ass blasting fun. get it and join the twisted mask squad.

if you liked SOTN or any of the GBA/DS Castlevania games buy this IMMEDIATELY. it's a masterpiece of design and presentation, but above all, it just FEELS right. there's no way to convey what I mean in words. the movement, the feedback when you hit an enemy, the flash of damage numbers. it's beautiful and incredibly satisfying. stop thinking about it and hit the buy button. it's already amazing, I can only imagine just how much more amazing it's gonna get.
