I'm confident enough now to change my review to a positive one. However, the downright horrible launch this game had should not be forgotten. Now that the servers actually work, I can say this is a pretty good game. It's definitely similar to Payday 2, but has a pretty good amount of fundamental changes to differentiate the two. However, as of now, the game is still on its release version (aside from the server maintenance) and it is seriously lacking in the quality-of-life department. No offline mode yet, since they made the game always-online (which it shouldn't be), there's no lobby chat so everyone just automatically plays heists stealth (which is a problem when you're using a loud build, and/or you just want to play loud), there's a challenge-based progression system which is a total pain because the challenge menu is downright unacceptably awful, and the list goes on.

If you're a fan of Payday 2 or just want a fun co-op horde shooter, and you have a good internet connection, you should consider. I'm pretty confident there will be positive changes in the future.

I've always loved the idea of open-world games that let you figure things out as hands-off as possible and this does it really well. It gave me plenty of moments that made me feel like I accomplished something in my own way without making anything confusing. Highly Recommend.

A decently challenging puzzle game. I enjoyed the gameplay for what it was, but what kept me going was absolutely Vanripper's amazing artwork. I've been a fan of his stuff for a while, I love how his art style and character design.

I really love how this game is stylized. All of the demon girls you come across are very cute (there's also an angel one), the sprites are nice and have animations that move to the beat of the music, and there are some nice effects here and there. You can also ask for "life advice" on every level to get dialogue from the demon girls.

When it comes to gameplay, it's a decent puzzle game. It's very short, I beat it in 2 hours and skipping 1 level with my walnut-sized brain. Not much to say.

It's worth a try for the style of it alone. If you appreciate some nice art and cute girl design, give it a shot.

Probably the best shooter I have ever played. I LOVED Doom 2016, but Eternal absolutely makes that game its ♥♥♥♥♥. They improved on so much from the original.

There are so many mechanics to master to keep you experimenting with your weapons. Speaking of weapons, you can't really rely on one weapon for the whole game (the super shotgun), there isn't a massive cache of ammo for every gun, so you will need to switch between them and use the chainsaw a lot-- people complain about this, but I see it as a good thing since it actually makes you use more than .1% of your brain *cough*annual war shooters*cough*.

The actual gameplay is really fun and brutal. So much going on at once with all the different enemies to keep you on your toes, accompanied with the soundtrack by the absolute legend, Mick Gordon.

The visuals are spectacular. Doom 2016 was fine, but I've grown REALLY tired of the whole "horror space station" aesthetic over the years. Eternal Switches up pretty much every level. There are so many more colors and things popping out, the backgrounds are so nice to look at, so much detail and overall amazing design throughout this whole game, even though I had to play with low graphics.

The online is fine, but a gripe I have with this game is the DRM. You HAVE to log into Bethesda.net to play, which I hate for a game that is primarily singleplayer. Fortunately, there are FREE monthly battlepasses with really neat weapon skins, Slayer skins, and demon skins. Speaking of demon skins, their is a multiplayer mode that can be pretty fun! You play as the Slayer or a selection of demons (demons are easier to play, Slayer requires some practice).

Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this game if you've played Doom 2016 already. There's more singleplayer content to come, and I'm really looking forward to it.
