Very fun. The age transitions mean I can more easily pick up games that I stop before finishing. Absolutely gorgeous. Informational clarity could use some work and I wish there was a map search function among other things, but Civ games tend to get better as time goes on. Would recommend.

I prefer the art style to Civ V, largely because I can actually tell what a tile is by looking at it. Each nation feels unique. Don't launch it unless you have a few hours to kill because you'll be caught off guard by how long you've been playing it. If you want a chill, easy game, play as the Maori on a Terra map. If you want to be punished, play Sumeria on True Start Location Earth, set it to Deity, and include every AI.

All right people, there is a reason this is known as the King of Indie games. Eerything you see here was originally created by a single man known on the internet as "Pixel." What's more, this was his first actual plot based game. Prior to that he was making games about pinning seals to the wall via the loop of a chain.
Now this game has multiple endings and, unless you do things just right, you're going to undergo some heavy losses. You'll enjoy it regardless. I've beaten this game 12+ times and I still enjoy it every time. To me, it harkens back to the old metroid games whil still being something totally original. Heck, I got so into this game that I made a web-comic about a character who only shows up once and has a single line. The best ending just leaves you feeling good and everything about it leaves you comming back for more. Thankfully, there's plenty more due to the various aditions given to it since its F2P conception. If there's one complaint, it's that I prefer the fan translation in the free version to this "official" translation.
