I’m mad at myself for not reviewing this game upon 100% completion, but rather almost a year in advance. If any game deserves an immediate 10/10 rating, it’s Outer Wilds. I still think about aspects of the base game and DLC almost daily. For a total of 48 hours, this game put my brain in a trancelike state of calmness, curiosity and theorycrafting that I’m not sure how to replicate. I could go over the million aspects that make Outer Wilds great, be it the space exploration and sci-fi science, mystery solving, unexpected emotional rollercoasters, world+character design, dialogue, gameplay, etc, but I think the community for this game says it best when they say “Just play Outer Wilds bro, trust”

I’m not sure if I’ll ever 100% this game. Every time I log on, I gawk at the beauty of the game, try to solve my unsolved fates, then remember I don’t have the mind of a detective and turn the game off for a month. I’ll get there one day, this game is too good to leave unfinished.

I like this game because it’s very easy to pinpoint the weakest link on your team and blame them for screwing us over, even if I’m that person most of the time. Super fun, good team-building exercise
