This game is simply amazing! This game puts a more tactical spin on the original dawn of war, and with loot systems and unique skill trees you become invested in your men, causing you to care more for the troops that you command. Each sqaud of the small four man army brings something different to the table, and as you progress through the story, deciding who to bring along becomes increasingly important. Do you want slow yet powerful troops with beefy armor that can't take cover, or do you want quick nimble troops that can easily take down powerful enemies, but at the cost of armor? The choice is all yours, and that's what makes this game awesome, the choice of the player. In the end you really feel like a battle worn veteren of the Warhammer 40k universe, and if you didn't play on higher diffuculties the first time around you will definitely want to begin doing so.

The multiplayer is meh, at the least and it caters back to the original dawn of war with infinite troops and easy to hold objectives. This sucks, because it looses everything that makes this game's single player good, the loot, leveling, and love you have for each unique squad. The survival mode is ok, but again it looses everthing good about the campaign. Now I have yet to expireince the co op features of this game but I've heard really good things about it.

So with that this game earns a 8/10, for a more than solid campaign delivering much more than I expected, but loosing points for having a weak multiplayer side of things. Thanks for reading my review of Dawn of War II...
