Not what I expected at all. But I love it and its addicting. You start a map solo or join a 10 person map. You try to last as long as possible before your world tree (yggdrasil) dies. It WILL die, you will repeat this. Each night your tree is attacked by smaller mobs. During the day you collect resources to upgrade your village which provides better armor, weapons and potions needed. Soon a large giant will land on the map and head towards the village. It will kill your tree if it gets there, so stop it early. If you kill the giant you can leave and collect your rewards. And it all starts again. OR you can stay and continue and another giant will land in time. The main point is to try to live for as long as possible. I have seen people go over 100 days. Well done to them, I have not :(

I bought this on PS4 because I could not wait for the PC version and played 100 hrs. Moved to PC and rounding on 200 hrs and still love playing it. What's not to love about hunting giant monsters and not having to hear kids yell about doing your mom?

With the recent announcement from Blizzard and Diablo's future, this game should be your must go to. The amount of content for a free game is just amazing and it really scratches that ARPG itch!

Great artwork and music. Gameplay will hold you for hours but it still needs some balancing as replicants and the enviorment issues tend to become unstable even without any change.

I see a lot of hate for this game based on performance. As someone who has been playing for the past 5 hrs at a steady 60fps all I can say is, it's fantastic. It's what I expected of the game and so far the story is great. Don't believe me? Check out my twitch channel and see for yourself. I don't know what is different from other people, but I haven't seen the issues.
