Remove the Tether System – It Ruins the Co-op Experience

This co-op system needs to be removed. Being forced to stay stuck next to another player completely ruins the experience.

Instead of feeling fun or strategic, it’s just frustrating. You can’t explore freely, you’re constantly held back by the other person, and it turns what could have been a great game into something annoying and restrictive.

Co-op should give players the freedom to work together, not chain them together. This “tethered” mechanic feels more like a punishment than a feature.

Please remove this system or at least make it optional, because in its current state, it honestly just sucks.

⭐ 0/5: A Disappointing, Clunky Mess

The Verdict: "Not Worth Discovering"

To be honest, it’s not worth discovering this world when there’s nothing exciting about it. The game is bad, the story makes no sense at all, and quests are boring and feel like filler. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is 20 times better. People that claim this is Game of the Year are paid actors; there’s no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way this is Game of the Year.

[Gameplay & Mechanics]

The core experience is bogged down by poor design choices that kill the flow:

Controls & UI: Controls are confusing and clunky, and the menus are not intuitive.

Combat: Combat gets repetitive fast. You do a 30-minute puzzle jump just to learn 2 abilities, which is not rewarding at all.

Looting Issues: Enemies, when killed, despawn way too fast, so you don’t even have time to loot them during combat or right after—it’s ridiculous.

[Immersion & World-Building]

For an RPG, the lack of freedom is a major dealbreaker:

Lack of Agency: You can’t steal everything, which kills immersion. The game feels very linear, with no real freedom, and exploration feels pointless.

Visuals: Graphics look a lot like Baldur’s Gate 3 mixed with a Witcher playstyle but without the depth.

Bizarre Restrictions: You can’t remove the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shield from your back; that alone is a big what the ♥♥♥♥.

[Pacing & Narrative]

The game fails to respect the player's time:

Unskippable Content: You can’t skip long ass cutscenes that are zero important and drag the pacing down.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5: A Masterpiece of Freedom

The Verdict: "Very Unique Game Style"

Honestly, there is so much you can do in this world that it stands in a league of its own. It’s a very unique game style that doesn't hold your hand, and while it is very hard, that’s exactly what makes it so rewarding. I’m hooked and honestly cant wait for Kenshi 2 to drop.

[Gameplay & Mechanics]

The depth of the systems is where this game truly shines:

True Freedom: There is so much you can do, from being a trader to a warlord; the possibilities are endless.

Difficulty: It's very hard, but overcoming the brutal world is part of the core experience.

Modding Community: Added mods make the game amazing, taking an already great experience and making it perfect.

[Immersion & World-Building]

The atmosphere is unlike anything else in the genre:

Unmatched Style: A very unique game style that creates a world that feels alive and indifferent to the player.

Sense of Scale: The world feels massive, and your place in it is something you have to earn through blood and grit.

[Future Outlook]

The foundation here is so solid it has me looking toward the future:

The Sequel: After spending time in this world, I cant wait for Kenshi 2 to see how they evolve these mechanics.

⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ 4.5/5: My Favorite RTS of All Time

The Verdict: "Game is Amazing"

I am so glad the Definitive Edition came out. Between the new servers, the new civilizations, and the massive amount of balance patches for everything, this is easily my favorite RTS of all time. It’s an amazing experience that breathes new life into a classic.

[Definitive Improvements]

The update has brought so much to the table to modernize the game:

New Content: The addition of new civs and consistent balance patches has kept the gameplay fresh.

Server Upgrade: The new server makes a huge difference for the multiplayer experience.

[Technical Issues]

Despite the polish, the game still needs a few fixes to be perfect:

Memory/Stability: There is a frustrating issue where the game crashes if you don't restart after a 40-minute treaty.

Connectivity: The game still suffers from going out of sync, which can ruin a long match.

[Summary]

Aside from those technical hiccups, this is the definitive way to play. It just needs that final bit of stability to be a perfect 5/5.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5: The Perfect Strategy Middle Ground

The Verdict: "Good Game, Unique Mix"

Knights of Honor 2 is a good game that feels like a mix between Crusader Kings and Total War. It strikes a great balance because it’s a lot more focused on battles than the heavy diplomacy you see in Crusader Kings, but at the same time, there is a lot of stuff you can do here that you just can’t do in other similar games.

[Gameplay & Mechanics]

The game takes the best of both worlds while adding its own flavor:

Battle Focused: Unlike other grand strategy titles where combat is an afterthought, this puts a real emphasis on the heat of the battle.

Unique Features: It has a lot of mechanics and actions available to the player that feel fresh and aren't found in its competitors.

Real-Time Strategy: The flow of the game keeps you engaged without the slow crawl of some more traditional "map painters."

[The "Mix" Factor]

It occupies a very specific space in the genre:

Not Just Diplomacy: While it has the grand strategy feel, you won't get bogged down in endless menus like in CK3.

Grand Scale: It maintains that "king of the world" feeling while keeping the action front and center.

[Summary]

If you want the depth of a kingdom manager but actually want to lead your troops and do things differently, this 4-star title is definitely worth the play.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5: The Ultimate Combat RTS

The Verdict: "Good Spatial RTS"

Sins of a Solar Empire is a great spatial RTS that is just a lot of fun to play. If you’re looking for something that is heavily accessed on the battle side of things, this is it. I really enjoy the combat aspect of this RTS better than similar games like Stellaris.

[Gameplay & Mechanics]

The game is designed for players who want to see their fleets in action:

Battle Focused: There is definitely less diplomacy and more battle here. It doesn't get bogged down in politics; it keeps the focus on the frontline.

Superior Combat: The way the combat feels and looks is much more engaging than its competitors. Watching the massive capital ships duke it out is the best part of the game.

Real-Time Strategy: Unlike slower 4X games, this moves at a pace that keeps you on your toes without the "wait for a turn" boredom.

[Comparison to Stellaris]

It carves out its own niche in the space strategy genre:

Action over Management: While Stellaris is a galaxy-management sim, Sins is a pure war machine. You spend more time shooting and less time filling out paperwork.

Better Tactical Feel: You have much more direct influence over how your ships behave in a fight, making the victories feel more earned.

[Summary]

It’s a solid 4-star experience for any RTS fan. It’s the perfect game if you want to skip the talk and get straight to the explosions.

not worth the high price , it’s dead space with good graphic , 1 big issue is the heart beat that remove the ambiance terror of the game.
