The idea of making a survival game be perma-death is absolutely genius. It made me actually think and be careful with my decisions, rather than use an "act first, think later" mindset like I usually do.

○ Great to play with your friends

○ A bunch of mini-games that provide a similar experience as custom maps in Source games (like infection, gun game, saxton hale)

○ A well done arcade that features games, tokens, tickets, and prizes

○ Condos are like player houses and the Condo editing allows you to make anything you can imagine (seriously)

○ The plaza and the condos allow you to socialize on levels very similar to VrChat

○ Great workshop integration; you have the ability to wear player made models and use player made props in your condo

○ The developers are very active and keep the players updated daily on what was recently accomplished and when an update is coming

This games flaws lie in the fact that it's in early access. It can have long load times, network lag, and framerate lag. There are also several unfinished features that are inaccessible/unusable.

I was one of the people who originally bought this game back when it first came out. I got bored with it quickly and tried to refund it (Sony didn't like that). Fast forward to 2020 and... I think my time spent playing this game speaks for itself. Hello Games did an amazing job of bringing their vision for this game together and making a truly fun game of exploration, building, and mystery. The cherry on top is the fact that all updates are FREE and there are NO micro-transactions. Bravo Hello Games.

If you love Isaac, then you're going to love this game.

The gameplay is perfectly simple. Not simple as to where it's boring, but simple to the point where you can shut down and enjoy it or put a lot of thought into it and be rewarded.

The cardboard aesthetic is done perfectly and it's obvious that it was worked on a lot to make it look and feel just right. The music is also very well done. It's production is ten out of ten and it fittingly gets more intense as you progress through the game (Isaac fans will be pleased to hear parts of the Isaac OST laced into the music of this game).

10/10 - My only complaint is that we didn't get more content. But with a $15 price tag, I can't really make that complaint.
