[LFS] B-Wing Torpedo

Description
Features
- 4 Primary Laser Cannons that alternate shots
- 1 Proton Torpedo Launcher
- Custom Animations to swap from landing mode on the side to attack mode, no janky instant model transition.
- Custom audio sounds

If you are looking for the prototype with the laser you can find it here: B-Wing Laser Prototype

Future Goals
Fix AI -> the model transition appears to solidly break the AI.

Fix Collision upon model switch -> I have to keep digging on this one, with model switches the hitbox will follow the model an entity is on, however collision information is not so liberal in switching.

Add interior cockpit/transparent cockpit glass and keep the cockpit seat attached to the cockpit on the mesh -> The model is far over the polygon count so some decimation had to be used, will do a rework through the model eventually and make the decimation a bit smoother and less focused on specific areas. The basis for the maneuvering cockpit is present with the current model.

Add additional skins from squadrons to the B-wing -> just a matter of getting textures and recompiling the model.

Lore Info
The A/SF-01 B-wing starfighter, manufactured by Slayn & Korpil, was a relatively poor dogfighter, but it was primarily designed as a "blockade buster" to attack and destroy large capital ships. As such, it was equipped with weaponry and systems normally reserved for much larger craft. Indeed, the B-wing boasted more firepower than most patrol ships and corvettes. At the same time, it was slower and less maneuverable than a Y-wing, gave off a significant infrared signature, and required more maintenance than any other Rebel starfighter. The A/SF-01's impressive array of weaponry made it the most heavily-armed starfighter in the galaxy when it was introduced. As standard its weapons pod held a SW-7a ion cannon, an R-9X laser cannon and an emission-type MG9 proton torpedo launcher. Two more SW-7a cannons were mounted at the ends of the S-foils, with a secondary MG9 in an armored emplacement between the command pod and engine cluster. The command pod featured a weapon mount that could accommodate multiple options; typically it featured a pair of twin auto-blasters with room for a second pair. Alternative weaponry included Quad lasers, and laser-guided bombs could also be carried.

Both this and the Prototype B wings are wonderful mods! only little suggestion would be if it's possible to resize the scale to be 2 times bigger? (messed around with the prop resizer and found this to be a good size) but other than that I love it! Can't wait to see more from you!

The VTOL is through settings within the lua files and the animation comes from the model which I assembled from meshes from Squadrons. If you want to make animations like that you will need to learn how to use Blender or 3DSMax.

For learning how to make vehicles I would recommend you get the basic template for an LFS vehicle from Here [github.com] and add a different model to it to figure out how to do the pathing. Editing the shared.lua file is usually an easy place to start and some of the base LFS vehicles have helpful comments for beginners if you look at their lua files.

awesome mod, i have a suggestion. the scale is a little small. it should be the length of Y-wing, those are the only things i have to say. Also How did you get it to do a vtol take off and do an animation? i really wanna start making LFS vehicles but i have no idea where to start.
