Achievements are awarded only for upgrading all of the 4 turret systems in the game. See below for example

You do not have to earn 3 stars on all levels. However, you get more money if you do

What are the best turret set up? The Gattling cannon combined with the frost.
Why? Laser is string but has a much lower fire rate than the Gattling cannon. The very high fire rate of the gattling cannon makes it very superior.
Laser does good damage while frost slows down enemies

What is the best level to earn money? Level 6 You can use this set up below.
I had level 2 for frost and laser turret

When you earn 3 stars, You earn 300 gold which makes getting upgrades easier

Lastly, achievements are awarded when you exit the game. Keep that in mind! Exit the game often.

LOL, I could have 100%-ed it even faster but I replayed level 1 for some reason instead of going for level 2 and 3.

Well, they did on level 8 and 9 but with upgraded towers level 8 is doable at 2x speed the whole level (with 3 stars).

yeah but the monsters will pass you the harder enemies

I used the first turret upgraded to max combined with frost. On later levels you get 375 gold or even 400 when you get 3 stars. Takes a bit of grinding to 100% but it's very easy. You can also speed up the game by pressing the 2x button while you're on a level. You might want to add that to the guide.
