NOTE: results may vary from hardware to hardware, it is not guaranteed to work for everyone.

Known issues: green smoke/dust effect, fixable by launching & quitting a quick or a single-player mission.

There are many different SLI workarounds for IL-2 Cliffs of Dover, this is one of the simplest method, and it seems to be working very well.


1) Download NVIDIA Inspector & unzip to your desired location. (download link)[www.guru3d.com]

2) Open NVIDIA Inspector and navigate to the Profile Settings window (button with a wrench and a screw driver icon).



3) Select the game's profile by typing 'IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover' into the Profiles search bar, or by manually locating the game in Profiles drop down list.



4) On the setting SLI compatibility bits (DX1x) change the profile to 0x000240F5 (Merchants of Brooklyn) then hit 'Apply changes' on the top right.



Note: don't forget to hit the 'Apply changes' button at the top of the window when you're done! Your changes won't register unless you do!

Let's tweak more settings for better GPU scaling & utilization.

Here I'll show you an example which in fact gave me an overall better GPU scaling.

1) First change the 'SLI compatibility bits (DX1x)' to 0x000240F5 (Merchants of Brooklyn).

2) Then change 'Antialiasing - Behavior Flags' to 'Treat 'Override any application setting' as 'Application-controlled' & change NVIDIA Predefined FXAA Usage to 'Disallowed'.

Note: you can skip this section if you want to, I disabled them just to make sure NVIDIA driver isn't forcing any AA and conflicting with the game's AA and messing with the performance, also Vertical Sync is disabled, you can leave it to default if you wish.



3) Scroll down to SLI section, and use these settings & then hit 'Apply changes'.



Note: this is for 2 GPU setup, if you have more than 2 GPUs you can tweak the settings such as 'SLI_GPU_COUNT_TO_TWO' to 'SLI_GPU_COUNT_TO_THREE' or 'FOUR', feel free to tweak the other settings as well, and try which combination is working the best for your setup.
