Introduction

This guide will show you some cool little spots to hide the new gadget. Hopefully I will continue this series on different maps and revisit completed maps with more advanced locations!

Keeping this short, this was done on the TTS (Technical Test Server) meaning the gadget may change on final release. Part 1 will go through locations on "Oregon" until I go back and find more spots.

Using some of these positions, you can gain a big advantage on your enemy whilst they are drunk and confused on how they were drunked.

Basement, North Stairs.

Pros
  • Hard to spot. (Pointing Upwards)
  • Simple to recreate.
  • Hidden in the shadow of the box.
  • Close to the main route into the objective.

Cons
  • Not so hidden when coming from the south side.

Improvements
  • Place the IDE on the other side. (Attackers may avoid it if they stick to the east wall).
  • Placing it against the wall. (Still not sure what the difference is).
  • Placing barb wire could help It's visibility.
Basement Corridor, North Side. [4]
Spot 1
Spot 2
Spot 3
Spot 4

Pros
  • All spots are very well hidden.
  • Easily repeatable.
  • Hidden behind objects.
  • You can usually hide the IDE deeper. (Further into the objects).
  • Activates through objects. (Tested multiple times on different surfaces).

Cons
  • You can't pick them up sometimes.
  • Could get EMPd if you have electronics on the wall facing north stairs. (Mira-Bandit for example)

Improvements
  • Could be hidden deeper.
  • Barbed wire could distract the attacker from the IDE's general location.
  • You might be able to use the objects around it to hide it better.
Supply Room, North Side.
Spot 1

Pros
  • Well hidden.
  • Easily repeatable.
  • Hidden behind metal panels.
  • You can usually hide it deeper.
  • Activates through objects.
  • Stuck in a dark corner.

Cons
  • You can't pick them up sometimes.
  • Could get EMPd.
  • Sometimes sticks out from different angles.
  • Might be hard getting it further into objects.

Improvements
  • Could place in the corner in the room. (Might not work, Not tested).

Laundry Room, Basement. [4]
Spot 1
Spot 2
Spot 3
Spot 4

Pros
  • All spots are very well hidden.
  • Easily repeatable.
  • Hidden behind objects.
  • You can usually hide the IDE deeper. (Further into the objects).
  • Activates through objects. (Tested multiple times on different surfaces).
  • Counters planting on the machine.

Cons
  • You won't be able to pick them up.
  • Could get EMPd.
Construction Tunnel, Basement [1]

Pros
  • Very hard to see.
  • Easily hidden.
  • Not a point of interest. (Attackers won't really look there)
  • Activates through objects

Cons
  • You can't pick it up.
  • Easily seen under the red light. (Make sure its tucked away).
Lobby, First floor. [2]
Spot 1

Spot 2
(No screenshot, Make a hole in the floor above and throw it in between the layers)

Pros
  • Again, Hard to spot.
  • Easy to place.
  • Spot 2 is very good.
  • Activates through walls.

Cons
  • Might see debris on floor. (Spot 2)
  • Might be able to walk passed spot 1.
Drone Holes! [Misc]

So this doesn't just apply for Oregon. This spot can be used on every map.

Advice.
  • Place after drone phase.
  • Place in the holes near objectives or ones not used much.

Pros.
  • VERY hard to spot.
  • Work great if you combine this with a roamer.
  • It can block drones from entering. [50/50].
  • Can throw the attackers off guard.
  • Simple to do.

Cons
  • Doing it in drone phrase could expose the position.
  • Sometimes you are unable to pick them up.
  • Limited locations.

Thank you!

If you made it this far, I would appreciate it if you upvoted this guide and share it with mates! This took me a few hours to make and still have many ideas!

Find a spot and let me know with a steam screenshot! I might use it in future guides.

Thanks :)

4:3 on a widescreen makes the heads appear wider. Which is why some pros even play like that.
