The Banned Biome
By Ruinae Retroque Rursus and 17 collaborators
You may not have heard of the Banned Biome. But doubtlessly you will have walked through it, even if you haven't realised it was there. Welcome to The Banned Biome, a guide dedicated to detailing a biome that doesn't exist in neither vanilla nor modded terraria, and contains a bunch of guide editors waiting for 1.4 to release.

Foreword
The Banned Biome is a place of mystery, despair, salt, flame, and Oxford commas.

and yes I need a better picture for this guide

Disclaimer: This is not a real thing in Terraria, nor is it a mod of some sort. It's just a parody of the state of these discussions. That being said, feel welcome to make a mod using some or all of the ideas in this guide.

Don't act like a dumbass in the comments. This is an obvious parody, and not to be taken seriously.
Biome Structure & Loot
On the surface, the grass is blackened with flecks of orange and red. The background is similar to the Corruption - desolate trees and empty ravines.

It contains Banned Trees. Uniquely Banned Trees cannot be chopped with any axe. They require a War Axe of the Night or better to chop (or Bombs will do). They drop Banned Wood which can be crafted into armor and furniture (see below).

When Hardmode is activated you can combine five Acorn + five Banned Wood + one Soul of Night to create five Banned Acorns. These trees require 106% or more Axe Power to chop (read: Pickaxe Axe or better). These drop Community Banned Wood.

While Corruption has Ebonstone the Banned Biome has Banstone. These are similar to Obsidian Bricks but with a little more orange. They inflict the "Banned" debuff when you stand on it, which reduces your movement speed by 90%. Unlike the debuff of Hellstone, this debuff also affects ground-based mobs that "walk" (eg Unicorn, Zombie, NOT Wraith, Gastropod) making it useful for traps.

Underground are found "Griefed Houses." These are the equivalent of Underground Cabins. They are created out of out of Banned Bricks. These do not apply the Banned debuff but need a Nightmare or better pickaxe to mine. However, you can still enter the house via either a) the door or b) the holes caused by griefers long gone. Often houses appear to have originally been larger but they have been demolished. Only some Banned Walls remain.

Perhaps the most notable feature of the Banned Biome is its "Pit of Doom." This is a pit extending straight to the bottom of the world, meaning you have a pre-existing Hellevator. However, Geyers, Dart Traps, and Banned Traps (think Spear Traps that inflict Banned on contact) mean that it is virtually impossible to descend safely. However, it can be harvested for useful farming resources, especially as Banned affects the enemies of the Old One's Army.

Loot

From Underground Chests:

- Anti-Ban (very rare)
Grants immunity to the Banned debuff.

- Carcoimmunity
Grants immunity to the Cancer debuff.

- Dweller's Hammer
80% hammer power and a not useless use time. About as good as the Rockfish.

- Trashpost
A magic weapon that consumes one mana and shoots a one damage projectile. Use time: two frames.

- Phantom Mask of Trashposting
Equippable accessory that provides -5 def but 10% increased damage.

Fishables

- Banned Crates

- Banfish
Normal Mobs
Pre-Hardmode

- Fresh Meme
1 HP (2 on Expert)
1 contact damage
Follows the Zombie AI incredibly badly.

- Lousy Guide
Looks like a Banned Tree and cannot move. Uncommon enemy. 500 HP. Deals 100 contact damage and does nothing except damage the player as they walk through it (no knockback). Has a chance to drop the Trashpost.

- Salty Child
Reskinned Zombie that inflicts On Fire on contact. Higher move speed than normal zombies. Drops the Salt Cellar.

- Low-Level Forum Dweller
Walks towards you and throws a projectile that splits into five projectiles like the Flower of Fire that inflict On Fire (obviously). 250 HP, 25 (melee) 35 (ranged) damage.

- Fiery Dragon
A ground-based mob that throws Bombs at the player. These only destroy Dirt variants, Wood variants, and Stone variants - nothing else. This results in the Fiery Dragon digging a hole for itself & usually falling into lava. When killed, explodes into five bombs which explode upon hitting the ground. Has a small chance to drop the Ban.

- Bait Post (Rare)
Looks not dissimilar to a Trifold Map. Deals 999 contact damage, does not move, has 999 defense, and 50 HP. When killed, drops the "All Items Map."

Hardmode

- Aether Dragon
Aether Dragon always flies above the player and carpet-bombs the place with 1-damage projectiles that linger for half a second on the ground before petering out. Being hit inflicts "Cancer," which deals three damage a "tick" (for six damage per second). Has a small chance to drop the Ban.

- Minecraft Topic
Hardmode only. Essentially identical to the Corrupt Mimic, but looks like a Minecraft chest. 4000 HP and standard damage values. Has its own loot table.
Buffs
(Work in Progress)

As there are various debuffs in biomes, there are buffs.

Reaper

Part of the set bonus with any 3 Marksman armor pieces equipped as the last item upon getting a kill with a gun.

Gain 8% extra stacking ranged damage for 15 seconds after each kill with a gun. Each stack gained refreshes the buff duration.
Debuffs
The Banned Biome has many specific debuffs that only take effect if you are in the Banned Biome or a Forum Dweller Event is happening.

Banned

Occurs when struck by certain enemies. All weapons made out of Banned Wood or Community Banned Wood have a 33% chance to inflict "Banned" on hit.

Banned reduces the speed of the player / enemy to 20% and also inflicts two damage per half-second for a variable duration.

Cancer

Unlike Banned, Cancer will increase movement speed in an effort to get away from its source. It is primarily dealt by contact damage to enemies. It deals five damage per half-second for a variable amount of time.

Rekd

Reduces all damage done by any http://forum weapon to 10% for two (4 in Expert) seconds. Only dealt by certain Dweller weapons.

Run away

If a forum dweller hits you, they lifesteal 10% of the dmg they deal and crit, armor is reduced by 10 and the player has a similar effect to confusion, tooltip - "Maybe you should run away"

Spooked

Does nothing, tooltip - "You somehow know that Ghosty is not gone"
Normal Mob Drops
- Salt Cellar
Dropped by the Salty Child at a 2% drop rate. A melee broadsword that's basically as good as a Platinum Broadsword that inflicts "On Fire" on contact.

- Trashpost
Dropped by the Lousy Guide at a 10% drop rate.
For one mana, fires one fairly quick (think about Spectre Staff speed) projectile for one damage per frame.

The "Minecraft Topic" will always drop one of the following:
- Minecraft Bait (3-5)
100% Bait Power. No particularly special effects.

- Wall of Text (30 summon damage)
Summons a post which attacks via firing ranged projectiles that inflict On Fire at a 20% rate. The post does not go through blocks and nor do its ranged lines of text.

- Shield of Sanity
+6 Defense, Immunity to On Fire, Frostburn, Cursed Flames, and Ichor

- Ban
Dropped by Fiery Dragon, Aether Dragon, Gh0st, and Sash.eX at varying rates (0.5%, 1%, 10%, and 25% respectively).
Can be placed. Looks like a white flag with an 'X' on it. Invisible outside of the Housing Menu. 2x2, hung on Backwalls or Ceilings.
When placed in any area considered a valid NPC house, it will mark the house as Invalid. Attempting to move an NPC into this house will display the following message:
'This house has been banned.'
Note: All enemies that can drop this have been (or are) banned. Feel free to add any other enemies that have been banned before. Drop rate depends on the difficulty to defeat.
Bosses
Frazer

Frazer always drops one of the following:
- Banhammer (melee swung weapon with insane damage but low use time)
- Ban Launcher (Ranged weapon, uses "Ban Messages" bought from the Arms Dealer. Very similar to the Explosive Jack-o-Lantern Launcher)
- Banger (Magic weapon that fires banhammers as projectiles)
- Banner's Staff (Summons a Banhammer to fight for you - 45 summon damage)

- Frazer's Trophy (standard drop chances)
- Frazer's Mask (standard drop chances)
- 10 to 20 Souls of Bannight (100% drop chance)

EXPERT EXCLUSIVE ITEM: "Topic Lock"
The Topic Lock is an accessory that temporarily grants you the "Lockdown" buff, during which all enemies are unable to fire any projectile attacks. This has a cooldown of five minutes, starting from when it is used and is active for an entire minute (so four minutes downtime).

Crafting Functional

- Cancer's Bane
Combined from the Anti-Ban and the Carcoimmunity at a Tinkerer's Workshop, this provides immunity to both Cancer and Banned.

- Debuff's Bane
Crafted from an Ankh Shield + Hand Warmer + Cancer's Bane + Pocket Mirror + Water Bucket + Holy Water, this provides immunity to all debuffs (incl. Ichor, On Fire, etc., etc.) except special boss-inflicted ones (Horrified, Moon Bite) and Suffocation.

- Trashguide:
Crafted from the Trashpost and 10 Souls of Bite. Fires five projectiles for one mana and one damage each, with a use time of one frame ( = 300 DPS with no crits)

Things to Build With

- Banstone
Mined straight out of the Banned Biome. Used to make Banned Bricks. Applies the Banned debuff on contact.

- Banned Bricks
Similar to Obsidian Bricks but with more orange and less black. Does not apply the Banned debuff.

- Banned Wood
Used to make Banned Furniture and Banned Armor

- Community Banned Wood
Used to make Community Banned Armor

- Banned Door
When open, displays a symbol of a hammer

- Banned Chair
Shaped like an upside-down hammer ( like ,|. )

- Banned Table

- Banned Piano
Looks like an electric keyboard supported on two crossed hammers

- Banned Sofa
Has hammers as armrests. Also visually contains spikes instead of cloth (crafting recipe still requires Silk)

- Banned Bed
Trying to set your spawn will work but will inflict the Banned debuff for the next five minutes.

- Banned Work Bench
A long hammer lying on top of two smaller hammers.
Forum Dweller Invasion
The event is designed such that you will be able to gain some loot before killing EoC but summon the same invasion after killing Plantera and still have new things to fight.

When you use the Bait Discussion, a popup will appear: "The Forum Dwellers are approaching from behind you!" Immediately the first three Forum Dwellers will spawn offscreen in the direction the player is not facing.

But what, of course, is a Dweller? They masquerade as players. They are the same size as a player (with some exceptions), making them difficult to hit. Early Dwellers such as Dweller #2 will simply just walk towards you, stopping to take potshots. However, later Dwellers will quickly fly around carpet-bombing the place. The difficulty is not dealing the damage to kill them - the difficulty is not being overwhelmed and being able to hit them.

Many Dwellers have supportive bonuses. In fact, some Dwellers have no attacks at all (not even contact damage). They boost the statistics of Dwellers nearby. This may be passive, such as to any Dweller within a certain radius, or active, in the sense that the supportive Dweller targets another Dweller to boost their statistics.

Once the first wave of Dwellers is beaten a message will be displayed, like the Pumpkin Moon, "Wave 2" but with no additional information. This will immediately spawn the Forum Dwellers corresponding to Wave 2 - that is, #4, #5, and #5.

When every third wave is reached you re-fight the Forum Dwellers. Let me explain:
Wave 1 - Dwellers #1, #2, #3
Wave 2 - Dwellers #4, #5, #6
Wave 3 - Dwellers #1 through to #6
Wave 4 - Dwellers #7, #8, #9
Wave 5 - Dwellers #10, #11, #12
Wave 6 - Dwellers #7 through to #12
Wave 7 - Dwellers #13, #14, #15
Wave 8 - Dwellers #16, #17, #18
Wave 9 - As this is the third "Sum of three" Dwellers you will now fight Dwellers #1 -> #18. The next wave (and coincidentally the final wave) to fight all Dwellers from #1 would be Wave 27.
Wave 10 - Dwellers #19, #20, #21
Wave 11 - etc., etc., etc.,

When Wave 29 (see below) is beaten, the event formally ends. Otherwise, it ends when the first player dies - not when "all players are dead." This makes it critically important that everybody on your team in multiplayer is attempting the invasion. It also makes the event less of a hassle in singleplayer, as then the burden is solely yours.

Each Dweller drops a Wave Fragment, which corresponds to the wave they are in. Each of these can be crafted with the Bait Discussion into the wave they correspond to.
Example - beating Wave 5 and dying on Wave 6 will give you a Wave Fragment 5 (& fragments 1-> 4 but that's beside the point). You can then craft this into a Bait Discussion (Wave 5). This will start the invasion from Wave 5 as usual.

Notable Waves:
- Wave 1 is designed to be fought around the time as King Slime.
- Wave 4 is post-BoC / EoW
- Wave 6 is the last wave supposed to be fought pre-hardmode. You can progress to Wave 7, and for the purposes of acquiring powerful weaponry and armor earlier, it is recommended that you at least attempt this.
- Wave 27 is the penpenultimate wave number. It will summon all Dwellers, from #1 to #27
- Wave 28 summons Forum Dwellers with names "Dvitri Jackson," "10101001010100011010100111010001," "Albcatmastercat," and anyone else who you would like to promote onto this list. They are insanely powerful and meant only to be fought once you can beat ML with no cheese with barely a sweat.
- Wave 29 only contains one enemy - Sash.eX. (See below)

Each Forum Dweller has a chance to drop a piece of armor. These are all interchangeable with each other. Unlike standard armor sets where you only have one or two variants of headdresses, with Forum Dweller Armor you have a wide selection of greaves, breastplates, and helmets to choose from in which to build the Ultimate Armor Set.

Each piece may come with their own individual "set bonus." The set bonus that is applied is determined by the last piece of armor placed. So if one set bonus is +10% melee damage, another is "can enter stealth," and a third is "500% increased jump height," whichever one you put in last (& of course you can take individual pieces out and put them back in again) will control the set bonus.
Add yourself as a Dweller here! As whole separate sections!
For the sake of organization, keep them alphabetical.

I am here because I got a contributor invite, no reason other than that. I guess I'll make a few things.

~ Biography (written by anyone else)

Instead of standard projectile throwing, or walking into them for contact damage, 1010100 will tend to try and jump on the player for heavy damage, as well as dealing knockback (if they have a Cobalt Shield or upgrade thereof the knockback is only halved, not eliminated).

Drops:

Plasma Blade

-40% increased damage (all types)
-Runs as fast as lightning boots.
-20 Defense

Set Bonus:

Universal Instability - With whatever your set bonus keys are, double tap them to teleport to your cursor and where you teleported from will summon a sentry that looks like the lunar portal staff. Aghyzuth
Spawns at the start of the invasion

How Aghyzuth looks ingame

Aghyzuth's stats:
Invincible
He just sits here, doing nothing, looking around sometimes...
Deals 10 contact damage.
Aidenpons
~ Autobiography (written by the Dweller who is being described)

200 HP
No Contact Damage

Attacks:
Multipost:
- Summons a barrage of randomly between five and fifteen projectiles at the nearest player. These are slightly inaccurate, making them all the more difficult to dodge. 40 (80 on Expert) dmg per projectile.

Phantasm:
- Fires four Holy Arrows at the player for 70 dmg per arrow (30 dmg per star) (double on Expert). This attack is very quick and frequently repeated rapidly.

Forum Weapon:
- Aidenpons can only use these weapons one during the fight.
- "Leave Now and Never come Back!" Fires an arching text string that curves and bounces along the ground. Deals 150 (300) damage on contact and will knockback the player far enough for mobs to start despawning.
- "Nobody likes you..." Fires a homing text string that inflicts "Frozen" on the player for 2 (4) seconds. This is usually enough for the player to be destroyed by other attacks.

Book (y'know, the item you find in dungeons)
- 100% drop rate
- Drops in quantities between 1 and 5

Phantasm (17% drop rate)

When he first spawns he will slowly walk towards the player.

He has a unique AI in that he responds to projectiles. If he is shot with stanard weapons at he will jump. If he is shot at with homing projectiles he will teleport to the other side of the player. This makes him incredibly difficult to hit. However, you can abuse his AI with the likes of Dart Traps.

He will also frequently become some shade of invisibility. Sometimes the transparency is barely noticeable and at other times he is completely invisible, only noticeable via his name when hovered over. A Hunter Potion will display a faint orange glow that is only visible in the dark.

Sometimes he will attack whilst invisible and other times he will simply remain there unmoving. This causes much frustration in certain waves if he decides to sit there, as he must be killed for the event to continue.

BadaBomb
Autobiography: One of the oldest dwellers, though generally not super active outside of Shroominati related stuff. Pretty much does whatever.

Health: 8000 (16000)
Defense: 14
Contact Damage: 110 (220)
100% knockback immunity

Special Attacks:
-♥♥♥♥♥ slap: A backhand slap that deals contact damage, sends you flying in the direction of the nearest dweller and inflicts the banned debuff for 10 (20) seconds.
-Grab: An immobilizing grapple that is immediately followed by a series of rapid and unavoidable ♥♥♥♥♥ slaps until the player can break free by dealing enough damage to make him let go.

Biography: BadaBomb's fight consists of two phases.

Phase 1: During this phase, BadaBomb's function is not to actually attack the player, but rather be a pain in the ass to avoid. When Bada spawns he'll just sort of casually float towards you, constantly matching your elevation, going through blocks if necessary, and if you happen to run into him (Which if you're not paying attention is fairly easy considering he's 3x as tall as a normal player, and is almost always on the same elevation as you, effectively making him a wall blocking one direction) he'll immediately hit you with a ♥♥♥♥♥ slap. He moves somewhat slowly, however, and if you're attentive to which side of you he's on he can easily be avoided.

Phase 2: Once Bada is reduced to half health, or all other dwellers for this wave are dead, he'll enter phase 2, in which he'll reveal a second pair of arms, which he'll use to slap you twice as hard, dealing double damage and double knockback. He'll also begin to chase you faster and more relentlessly, and periodically will try to rush towards you and grab you, and rapidly slap you for as long as he can hold on.

Strategies: It is suggested that you try to get him near half health before you kill the other dwellers, as having him enter phase 2 earlier than needed can be an issue, and having him start phase 2 with full health or near full health can be equally problematic.

Drops:
-Bada's Helmet Head Thing
10% drop chance
Cosmetic Item
"Is it a helmet or his actual head? The world may never know."
Birdspacito
Game Progression: Mech Bosses

Health: 1000/2000 (Birdspacito), 500/750 (Assault Drones)0
Defense: 30 (both Birdspacito & Assault Drones)

Damage:
Contact Damage: 40/80
Rifle Bullets: 33/65
Shotgun Pellets: 20/30
Assault Drone MGs: 40/60

Overview:
A lurker dweller that tends to exclusively play Expert Mode and has good aim, this is probably not the dweller that's worth annoying. His exclusive drops are expert-only, giving them all rainbow item names, since normal mode losers should never have the good stuff. No pain, no gain. Lurks in the 1.4 waiting room.

Appearance:
Vortex armor with a mostly black color scheme and some reddish-orange accents. Helmet glass is partially transparent.

Attacks:
Contact Damage - Self explanatory.
Rifle Burst - Switches to a clockwork assault carbine with a tactical black color scheme and begins firing at the player accurately in 4-6 round bursts that pierce 6 defense, and aren't affected by invulnerability frames..
Shotgun Blast - At close range, Birdspacito will switch to a KSG-12 that ignores invulnerability frames, firing 15 pellets.
Assault Drones - When dropped to 66% and 30% health, Birdspacito deploys a flying assault drone with 500/750 HP and 30 defense, rapidly firing its machine gun at the player with medium accuracy with a fire rate of once every 8 frames (normal mode)/6 frames (expert mode), also following the pattern of ignoring invulnerability frames.

Tips for fighting:

Don't get close. Seriously. You will get mauled by his shotgun, dealing 300/450 damage up close assuming all shots hit, ranging from 255/382 (minimum) to 345/517 (maximum) damage after the +-15% damage randomization part of damage calculations, assuming 0 defense/damage reduction.

This forum dweller doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about invulnerability frames. Keep your distance and learn to dodge.

None of the unique drops are obtainable from normal mode. You don't deserve the loot anyways if you need to be on normal mode to fight a boss.

Drops:

One of the below seven:
Armor:
Marksman's Helm (15%, Expert)
-9 defense, 15% bonus accuracy with guns, 5% bonus gun use speed
Marksman's Plate (15%, Expert)
-16 defense, 15% bonus ranged damage, 5% bonus gun use speed
Marksman's Greaves (15%, Expert)
-12 defense, 10% bonus crit chance with guns, 5% bonus gun use speed
Set bonus: Gain 8% extra stacking ranged damage for 15 seconds after each kill with a gun. Each stack gained refreshes the buff duration.

Weapons:
KSG-12 (15%, Expert)
-Effectively the middle ground between the tactical shotgun and the ordinary one. Deals 20 ranged damage, has tight spread, and has average use time. Shoots 15 bullets per ammo, and transmutes all ammo into crystal bullets.
Clockwork Assault Carbine (15%, Expert)
-A clockwork assault rifle with a shorter barrel, resulting in slightly reduced accuracy, but is fully automatic. Has a black color scheme. Aside from the differences mentioned earlier, it's stats are somewhat better than the Clockwork Assault Rifle.

Accessories:
Energy Shield (15%, Expert)
-Creates a protective shield around you with 300 HP with a 1 HP/second regeneration speed when equipped. Bypassed by piercing attacks.

Non-Unique Drops
250-500 Crystal Bullets
15-20 Greater Healing Potions
Captain Narwhal
~ Autobiography
Captain Narwhal
HP: 50000 (100000)
Def: 150 (300)

Captain Narwhal fights in a unique pattern. He has 2 phases.

In the first phase, he plays more of a supportive role. He constantly emits an aura, similar to the Dryads, that buffs the Forum Dwellers. It increases their defence, attack, and health by 20%. This aura doesn't affect himself, and the buff increases by 1% for every 1/20 of his max HP that is lost. He moves rather quickly, running away from the player as fast as possible. If you manage to get in melee range, he will attack with his Narwhal's Spike, a spear-like weapon, for 200(400) damage, but inflicts Drowning for 5 seconds, rapidly draining life (just like normal drowning). Neptune's Shell and Water-breathing potions do not work against this form of Drowning. Also, each time you land a hit on him, a single block of water spawns off of him, and the water applies the "Chilled" debuff on contact.

Once you whittle him down to 10000 (20000) health, the second phase, the true battle begins. The aura is gone, but speed and defence increase drastically. This time, he's out to kill. Basically, uses the typical Zombie AI, but much, MUCH faster. This time, when within range, uses the Captain's Horn, dealing 150 (300) damage, but only applying Drowning for 3 seconds. Defence goes up to 300 (600), making him even harder to kill. On top of this, if you flee too far away, he'll throw a Piranha at you, which will immediately just land on the ground and start flopping like normal. Does the same damage as an actual Piranha.

In Expert, when at <5000 HP, begins spawning Narwhal Cadets (3000 HP, 280 contact damage) and rapidly spawning water while touching the ground.

~ Biography

It may seem that Narwhal's health is puny. However, the 300 defense on Expert (=150 damage reduction) is nearly impossible to pierce with any non-modded weapon. Unlike most Dwellers, which attack at range, he adopts a melee approach. This will frequently result in the player desparately dodging him only to be shot by the other Dwellers.

Colind8
Biography
File photo:Stats
Health: 950
Defense: 10
Damage: 1800

Colind8 may seem easy to defeat, but he's quite a trickster. He is like an opponent on chess. He looks five steps ahead. Basically, he has a lot of dodging attacks. He is very tedious to defeat. If he hits you, he'll deal lots of damage too.

Colind8 wears a black and white tuxedo with a Guy Fawkes mask. His hair is messy, dark brown.

Attacks
•Knife - The basic attack, deals 1800 damage. Used most often in a medium-close range distance. Acts as a throwing item, similar to the Bloody Machete but closer to the Psycho Knife sprite.

•Teleport - A quick attack, used below half health. When Colind8 teleports, a yellow figure of himself will take the place. This "yellow figure" will explode and deal 3000 damage to the player if he/she is in a 10x10 radius. Colind8 will always teleport 15 blocks away in 4 different directions.

•xd - The xd attack is Colind8's "final attack". You will know when the xd attack is about to start because Colind8 will be placing candles arround him, even while floating. You can hit him during this process, but his defense is doubled during it. He will begin chanting after placing 5 candles. During the chant, you're recomended to drink healing potions now. When he takes off his mask to reveal a completely black, shadow-dye face with white glowing eyes, the attack will start.

Minisection: The xd attack
When the xd attack starts, your world will completely disapear, except for one small platform. This platform is the only thing to replenish your wing flying time.

Attacks: xd blast (lazer that deals 10,669 damage), xd teleport (Exactly like the teleport attack, but there will be 5 yellow figures instead of 1), xd spam (Will cause 'xd's to fly from left to right and right to left on the screen. They deal 8,669 damage)

Dxpress
~ Autobiography

Dxpress comes and goes at random times. Rarely does he ever engage aggressively.
You will mostly find him watching in the backlines, occasionally firing shots from a distance, then he disappears, waiting for a moment to strike again.

Attacks:

    • Fires a single high-velocity projectile that deals 120 damage.

Abilities:
  • Cloak of Sarcasm:
    • After firing a shot, Dxpress vanishes after two seconds and appears elsewhere.

  • Armor of Nope:
    • Dxpress is invulnerable until he fires a shot (because reasons). Attack him quickly before he vanishes.

NinshuEX
~Auto Biography

i am the 3rd terrarian EX. praise Sash-EX. #nevasoft
thanks for letting me on this guide and making my own part on this guide! <3

~Biography

HP : 600 (1200)
(In memory of lifeforce)
Defense 0 (0)
Contact damage : 555

NinshuEX appears to wear some variant of Titanium Armor. The effect of this is that she can only be attacked after you have not taken any damage for thirty seconds. This is incredibly difficult given her movement patterns and attacks. NinshuEX is invisible for the whole battle, unless she is attacking or has gotten hit previously. She will drink an invisibility potion 30 seconds after getting hit.

~Attacks

-Unreal Last Prism + Nebula Blaze Rush
NinshuEX teleports off screen, and onscreen a preview of where the beam will hit appears. You have 2 seconds to move out of the Large Prism beam spread. If the beam hits you, NinshuEX will teleport onscreen and unlease a rush of Nebula Blaze's. This can be fatal as there is a chance an Ex will be fired from the Nebula Blaze causing almost a 100% guaranteed instant kill.
Damage :
Last Prism - 30 (60)
Nebula Blaze - 95 (190)
Nebula Blaze Ex - 500 (1000)

-200 mph Star Wrath
NinshuEX teleports off screen, and soon comes flying in at 200 mph swinging a star wrath. Extremely hard to dodge.
Damage :
Star Wrath Sword : 60 (120)
Star Wrath Projectiles : 40 (80)

-Party Meowmere
Pretty self-explanitory. NinshuEX comes toward the player at a fast speed swinging a Meowmere Inflicted with party.
Damage :
Meowmere Sword : 80 (160)
Meowmere cats : 60 (120)

- Salt Potshot
NinshuEX retreats offscreen to barrage the player with 5-15 small salt cubes. Each of these bounce once. On the apex of their arc they split into smaller salt cubes. Like Plantera's Spiky Balls, they will attempt to home in onto the player.
Damage :
Salt Cubes : 50 (100)

~Drops

Nebula Blaze EX is the same as the normal Blaze, but fires an EX every time used.
Sash.eX
~ Autobiography

What, you think I'm going to let Sash loose on this guide?

~ Biography

Sash is the final enemy of the Forum Dweller Invasion. She (?) is the hardest enemy to destroy in the entire game.

HP: 600 (1200)
(in memory of Lifeforce)
Defense: 0 (0)
Contact damage: 999
Taking contact damage results in a text popup "Can you handle the edge?"

Sash appears to wear some variant of Titanium Armor. The effect of this is that she can only be attacked after you have not taken any damage for thirty seconds. This is incredibly difficult given her movement patterns and attacks.

Attacks and Movement:

- Fetid Baghnakh's:
Sash.eX teleports to the player, pauses for a quarter of a second, and swings Fetid Baghanks for 80 (160) damage per swing. After three swings she will teleport out again to a random location.

- Shadowflame:
Sash.eX flies and teleports around the player, taking multiple fast incredibly precise potshots for 50 (100) damage per hit inflicting Shadowflame.

- Salt Potshot
Sash retreats offscreen to barrage the player with 5-15 small salt cubes for 50 (100) damage . Each of these bounce once. On the apex of their arc they split into smaller salt cubes. Like Plantera's Spiky Balls, they will attempt to home in onto the player.

Drops:
- Rod of Discord (100% drop rate)
- Shadowflame Bow (100% drop rate)
- A random piece of Titanium Armor (100% drop rate for one piece only)
- Ban (25% chance drop, 50% in Expert)
- Blunt Edge's Edge (10%)
- Expert Only: Badge of Elitism (100%)

Combine a Blunt Edge's Edge with a Terra Blade and 100 Community Banned Wood to make the "True Edge's Edge." Functions identically to the Terra blade, but spews homing projectiles and inflicts "Bleeding" on hit. (150 base damage)
Tooltip: "Even looking at me will cut you"

Badge of Elitism
+150% ranged damage
+70% crit chance with ranged weapons
+150% movement speed
+50% chance not to consume arrows while equipped
Debuffs can no longer affect you, including Chaos State, making RoD spammable
Armor no longer provides any defence, but accessories still give defence bonuses
"only for the best."
Seeko
~ Autobiography
I probably won't add anything here.

~ Biography

While Seeko is alive, the "no u" debuff is inflicted. This functions identically to Confused but is not blocked by the Ankh Shield.

Drops:

- Reverse no u (20%)
A potion of sorts in that it can be used, except used indefinitely. Grants immunity to the "no u" debuff for 30s.

- Kip Bot (10%)
Summons a pet bot to follow you around.
Shinden
HP: 500 (1000)
(in memory of Lifeforce)
Defense: 0 (0)
Contact damage: 666

Shinden appears to wear some variant of Titanium Armor. The effect of this is that he can only be attacked after you have not taken any damage for thirty seconds. This is incredibly difficult given his movement patterns and attacks.

Attacks and Movement:

- Party Terrarian:
Shinden teleports to the player, pauses for 1/3rd of a second, and whips out a confetti-imbued Terrarian that deals 95 (190) damage on contact.
After 2 and a half seconds, Shinden will teleport out again to a random location.

- Toxic S.D.M.G. Spray:
Pretty self explanatory. Shinden flies and teleports around the player, spray-firing his Unreal S.D.M.G. for 12 (24) damage per hit. Each hit has a
5% chance of inflicting the Cursed Flames debuff.

- Invisawrath:
Shinden turns invisible, teleports to a random location on screen, and unleashes a barrage of invisible Starwrath projectiles at 40 (80) damage per hit.

- Salt Potshot
Shinden retreats offscreen to barrage the player with 5-15 small salt cubes for 50 (100) damage . Each of these bounce once. On the apex of their arc they split into smaller salt cubes. Like Plantera's Spiky Balls, they will attempt to home in onto the player.

Drops:
- Essence of Edge 1-3 (100% drop rate)
- Invisawrath (15% drop rate)
- Yoraiz0r's Scowl (85%)
- Super Gravitation Potion (33%) (Drops in quantities between 2 and 6)
- Expert Only: Unreal Luminite Bullets (100%) (Drops in quantities between 50 and 375)

The Super Gravitation Potions function almost the same as any Gravitation Potion, but these ones are active for 5 minutes, and increase your falling speed by 10%.

Invisawrath functions the same as the Starwrath, but both the sword and projectiles are completely invisible at the cost of 5 mana per swing.

Combine 20 Essence of Edge to create the Edged Soul. Combine this with a Guide Voodoo Doll to create the Edged Voodoo Doll. Throw EVD into lava to summon Sash.eX for a rematch.
Post-Invasion Changes
If one is successful in defeating the invasion, several changes to the biome itself will occur.

ALTS
All Forum Dwellers encountered have a 20% chance when killed to spawn an "alt", which is an exact copy of themselves but with only 1/2 the hp. These alts each have a 20% chance to have more alts, which will have half that health, and can keep spawning alts of alts up to 10 times. Each alt after the 3rd will have half the attack power, and each one after the 7th will have half the defense of the previous.

Shinden
Once the invasion is completed, Sash.Ex will no longer appear naturally. He is instead replaced with Shinden for all future encounters. See the Shinden topic for more information.

Forum Dweller Encounters
There is now a 10% chance that a normal mob spawn will be replaced with a random high-tier Forum Dweller from the invasion. Stats and drops stay the same, and no more than 5 can spawn each day/night cycle. Only one will be alive at any given time, and they will all have a 10% chance to drop an Update Fragment. 20 Update Fragments can be crafted into an Update, a one-time-use item that will reset the biome to the pre-invasion status.
