MINOR SPOILERS TACTICS Survival tips from an expert dragon (cringe) survivor since 1.0 alpha of darkwood

Greedings newcomers souls and visitors, Darkwood is not your average spoopy cheap jumpscare game, the devs took good care of it and its more newcomers and beginner player friendly then it was.

Exploration

#Exploring Is a core, always take a weapon with you no matter what the entire woods wants you dead. Craft a wooden plank, usualy the materials lying already around to craft one
#Watch your steps and surroundings enemies walk around the biome, traps lying around the randomly generated environment.
Survival.
#exploration always usefull gather resources go back to base drop items in your workbrench, dropping items in workbrench will be useful in the future

Survival

#always bring healing item health wont regenrate itself unless drinked from the well or survived the night
recommended item: Alcohol bandage, Pills
#bring gasoline cause sawmill and generator consumes it
#Activate oven asap if you find a new base
# barricade doors windows in some cases rapair doors, bear trap will be your best friend place bear traps at doors and windows don't bear trap yourself tough
# RPG perks will always have positive and negetive attribute choose carefuly cause they will be with you forever if chosen normal difficulty or started over
Gather expensive useless items to sell to vendors
# then the world turns yellowish to orange that means GTFO back to the base you won't survive outside more then 1-2 minutes after dark

Combat:

# some enemies are smart and won't stupidly charge straigh into you, most will so bear traps is best way to deal with them safely
# Most enemies will have secondary or more attack pattern you may want to learn and addapt to their tactics
# some enemies are harmless but they will infect your base
# guns can mostly be crafted some can be given as gift some can only be found, ammo is sold in low quantity so only some types of vendors will sell it to you, in long game reputation becomes easy
