Description
WAIT WAIT DON'T LEAVE IT'S NOT THAT BAD

Customize the Rend ability!

The goal of this mod was to make Rend not a 100% hit ability even with Red Fog, target in smoke cloud and aid protocol level 3 up.

In exchange for being able to miss and using the regular melee calc, Templars get 30% to crit with Rend for free innately. So if you actually have 100% to hit, this is a buff!

-= CUSTOMIZATION =-

Both the to hit and to crit values are customizable in INI.

Default is 15 to hit, 30 to crit which gives 80% to hit at the start approximately (so a 20% chance to miss at squaddie).

ArcWave is a copy of Rend, which is made before the game starts. I only changed Rend and forgot ArcWave, this is now also fixed.

TemplarBlademasterAttack was updated, it uses its own calc.

Looks like someone sneaked in a +20% to hit on all WRIST weapons in WOTC TLP... I adjusted the INI files for better defaults, you will need to update your INI files if you disagree with me.

TEMPLAR SQUADDIE HIT = 65 BASE + 20 WEAPON + 0 BONUS
The bonus is configurable but is now nil. You can also make it negative to hit less.

TEMPLAR SQUADDIE CRIT = 10 BASE + 20 BONUS (Down from 30 BONUS)

I dont recall and my setup is kind of in transition so my dev tools and XCOM is not installed yet. Check the INI files for SHARD GAUNTLET and look for damage values. If you dont see any i dont change anything on that front. It would be part of my Abilities Tweak WOTC mod, which PROBABLY has that change.

No changes recently. If this mod has damage changes i cant recall check in the ini files and compare.

Was there a recent change to this mod? I could've sworn that after using this mod, the Squaddie Templar had a base damage spread of 3-5 instead of 4-5...

I love the idea of this since Templars are pretty OP with their 100% chance to hit. There's a WotC Evac All now, so hopefully this works with this mod, so I'm gonna try it on my LWotC Campaign.

You can increase the BASE hit chance to 85 (+20), it would alleviate a lot of your issues. For your personal config i also suggest putting 10 or 20 more Crit which can also be adjusted via this mod.

1) Can be done by editing the classes INI file in the game folder. It's text.
2) Can also be edited by increasing the Gauntlet damage in the files.
3) This can be done inside this mod itself, editing the config file of the mod (Default is 30 Crit base).

This mod will not edit default game values of the Gauntlet or of your soldiers by choice. This would be in another mod because it is outside this mod's scope and the changes would not be welcome by everyone.
