The Obelisk Mega Corporation:
Stardate: 00467-99
It is the golden era for the planet of Abalon, a great ocean world inhabited by a race of intelligent Arthropods surviving deep under the oceans, they are the Obelisk.
The Obelisk society is a grim, economical world, controlled by the powerful corporations who monopolize their products to ensure income, and well faring citizens
with seemingly no end to their wealth, that is except for the poor below...
Their ideals, culture, emotions all but cold and mechanical, along with their thirst for materials and wealth for they greatly valued materialistic things.
However, some machines dream....
Although their civilization lie deep deep under the great oceans of Abalon, they dreamed of the faint lights on the surface, a height unreachable
in their ancient texts, yet none the less a height they dreamed for and pondered.
Soon the Obelisk would come to find their civilization completely monopolized by one corporation bearing the flag of the entire society itself as it once and for all
paid off the state and government, and became the rightful ruler of the entire species. Through their unity the Obelisk Mega Corporation led the Obelisk to places
once thought insane or impossible, and eventually they even made it to those faint, sparkling stars above the surface...
Stardate: 02941-84
As the void grew ever colder, we thought to ourselves, where have we gone? What have we done? Where are we going?.... Did we even know anymore?
The space outside looked empty, it frightened us, for in our home under the ocean, our windows would be of at least something... out here it is nothing.
As we explored, we found ourselves to be even more afraid, as eventually we heard of a strange signal, another object moving faster than light? preposterous!
But it was true, a small metal machine, something not born of our appendages. The strange white vessel hummed about for what seemed like hours, almost ignoring us.
Of course as we grew impatient we brang our ship closer, "just a closer look it will be okay" he told us... Immediately as our ship approached the smile white vessel
seemed to flicker with even more life and began firing what seemed like plasma based weaponry. Our ship was torn apart, I looked out the window one last time to see
all that lay left of our ship, a mangled mess of metal and what looked like a body or two...
Eventually word got out to the higher elites that there was an enemy thriving in the void just as us, the Obelisk Corporation immediately took action
calling this a threat to all Obelisk, and began the production of a new kind of ship, a war ship. Even as we easily graced our ships with guns and beautiful
designs we had not engaged in war for millenia, it was strange and many feared the worst. But for in this galaxy, I fear we have yet to know what true war is....

~STATS~
The Obelisk Corporation ships feature a moderately sized arsenal consisting of just about everything you need to fend off all those pesky aliens.
They also come equipped with 2 armor types, Pentonium twice as strong as terran armor just about as heavy. Octonium much heavier and much much stronger, comes with a pricetag.
Their thrusters are a bit different than most factions, being very strong and made for more independant use, with large forwards thrusters and many smaller RCS maneuvering
thrusters.
The Obelisk do however posess a bit of a weakness, their weaponry is very very expensive as far as energy goes, and reactors are in high demand and very expensive.
They also do not feature a specific cargo block, but instead prefer to fit cargo space into reactors, vidium ports, factories, and a few other subsystems.
Their ship types vary and take on specific roles, ranging from fast interception fighters all the way to a massive jack of all trades dreadnought.
I feel like this is the most important, their colors: Gray/Pink
