Simple tips for playing SFPA!
By Convoy
This is just a few short tips for the game. [NOTE: This does contain spoilers, but it'll be a big help to read, nothing too big is going to be given away.]

Before we start...
I highly recommend playing the previous games, and I also recommend using a controller. The game isn't difficult with a keyboard, but it's easier with a control stick and buttons, especially if you're not used to the way the Fancy Pants games control.
Collect the squiggles!
This sounds like it's optional, and it technically is, but grab as many squiggles as possible. They're used for upgrades really early on, and they help quite a bit in the game. The upgrades include:

- More Health
- More damage with your pen
-Sawblade Air Attack
-Down Air Stab
-Slide Slash

I recommend upgrading Health and Power once, then getting the Down Stab. Though not required to beat the game (or what's out so far, at least), it's extremely useful, and gets you through bonus stages for hats/pants.
Practice maneuvering!
This is a silly concept! Practice... moving? You're probably thinking that the game eases you in pretty slow. As it turns out, it builds up pretty fast, and expects you to be able to get around very quickly. Halfway through what's out for this game (I'm certain there will be more), the game is already expecting a lot out of your jumping, running, and timing with both in unison. Don't be too alarmed, it's fairly easy to get good at jumping and running with rhythm. If you grind for squiggles by smashing blocks after the Bath Tub Tower, you'll be fine. You should get pretty good fairly quickly, and if you don't, replay the first two levels or so a couple times over.
New moves!
The game introduces two new moves and a new technique for you to use with the pen. Because it's ink and not lead (don't correct me and call it graphite, I know), you can now Inkboard on paper walls, shoot ink pellets, and ink dash straight through baddies! You don't get a choice of what keys they are with a keyboard, but with a controller, I recommend setting tight trigger to shoot, and left trigger to dash. Sorry for those of you working with a keyboard, hopefully Brad will allow you to set your own controls in an update (make it happen, Brad, I'd love to finally control this game with WASD)! Until then, good luck with the controls!
Bonus stages!
If you're like me, you like collecting the items for your little Fancy friend to wear! Sadly, I don't have every item, nor do I think I ever will. Regardless, the bonus stages for them are in every level, starting straight from the second the game starts. You can always pause to change, and you find doors to find the extra clothes! The levels look and feel like classic Fancy Pants, being very fast-paced, and sometimes requiring very specific timing. Don't worry if you skip every door you find, there is no mandatory use for clothes, they just make Fancy Pants look more (or less, depending on what you wear) fancy!
Final notes
For a few quick things to go over, this game is great. Sadly, it is also rather short. I played through it in no longer than 3 1/2 hours. Regardless, if you're a long time fan, this game is well worth it's money and time, and you won't be disappointed! As another thing to mention, this is my first guide, so I'm very sorry if it's not helpful or useful to you at all, and you have every right to accuse this guide as such. If you want a helpful guide on it, you'll have to wait. I tried my best to not spoil the experience the game has, which is why it's rather short and blank. Once again, I'm sorry if it's not useful. If it was useful to you, then it's my pleasure! I'm glad you had a (hopefully) easier time with the game than if you ran in completely blind!

Great guide, but does anyone know how to fix lag on the game? It feels like I'm playing in slow motion. :/

I got every item.
Some tips, because there is no cheat sheet for them:
You will need skill at inkboarding to do some
A few in the earlier levels are easier to get with late game moves
Match your outfit! (It doesn't change anything but you performn better if you look like a boss)
Sadly, it is a very short game.
