Tales of Unknown: Low Spoiler Maps
By Discarded
Old info: Hand drawn, large, low spoiler maps on 4sq/in graph paper. Scanned at 300dpi
New info: Low spoiler, clean, digital maps.

No secret doors, stairways, traps, or giveaways.

Only thing shown is grayed in walls, and visable doors. The best part is however, unlike alot of links availible, these aren't goofed up in some way (spoilers, to fuzzy, no gridlines, small and haard to see, and so on)

location (1, 1) is where you enter the dungeon at. that's all the hints you get
Sewers Levels 1-3
These are directly underneath the Wine Cellar

Level 1

Level 2

level 3

Original photo's edited: background changed to white to be printer friendly, grid correctly displays 0-22 not 0-21, all spoilers but walls and doors removed.
Feedback
1)Should i include 1-way doors in the maps? asking experienced players
2)Which would you rather see more of? Hand or Photo edited?
3)Should i gray in every other set of virtical and horizontal lines to be easier to follow?

Original maps that i edited had a gray background, but i figure people might print this so i made them white to be printer friendly. Does anyone think this was a good move or would you just rather have the gray?

Looks like the torturous maps I used to draw when D&D was a paper and pencil game with indoor maps on graph paper, and outdoor maps were on hex paper. We were using the first edition rules which were three paper booklets which came in a brown box. God am I old. There were no home computers back then.
I wonder if a first edition set in pristine condition has any value these days? Probably not.

Gray map is probably better. Less visual confusion than checkered green or something similar.

I played this game every day for year.. just grinding.. I somehow lost something I needed for the quest, but it didnt bother me.. Id just keep grinding characters..trying to complete the best equipment on each..get all the spells.. and then it dawned on me to finish the game and the Amiga PC broke down.. and I never finished it..all the maps up to the last tower.. I think I lost something to get in there.. stepped on a magic mouth.. got distracted and never wrote down the information.. lost some silver brick or other unique item.. but it was the best game Ive ever played.. great hand drawn map... just the exact way I drew mine.. dont forget to keep the stairs in the right place on the map.. I used to draw in the map as far as I could see on the screen and place a dot in the middle of each tile that I walked on until I had walked every tile. That way I knew I d never miss anything.. unless I buggered the map

Very nice Wizard! Wish I still had my maps from days of old. I only want this game for the original classics. Not the least bit interested in the new one.

I've actually enjoyed these maps for the nostalgia kick. I have fond memories of mapping out these dungeons when I played the Bard's Tale games in the 80s. Thumbs up from me.

I don't show the location of stairways because you can use a spell to find your exact location, also if you go down a stairway on level 0 at location (1,1) level 1 or ect. would start you off at (1.1) so i mean it's not needed to be shown.

Put a special mark for the door that you come in at. Such as: on your grid for the Wine Celler 1 I assume that door located at 6-3 is the main entry door that I walk through, but it could be 9-3 or 4 though. Like maybe make the line thicker for the door that you come through maybe.

Very nice. If you would, please add entry point where there are multiple doors in level, so that we know where we come into the level at.
