Please note that these are averages taken from the wiki and the tiers often change based on planet and mission. A level 23 - 26 mission might be tier 2 on that planet, and tier 1 on another planet.
Rotations
Sometimes you might see people mention rotations. Rotations refers to how much time has passed, or what wave you are on in the mission. In a survival mission, a rotation would "rotate" every time you get a reward (which is every 5 minutes). In a defense mission, a rotation would "rotate" every 5 waves. The rotations go in the order 'AABC', after C it loops back to A.

Here are some tables that covers different types of missions for easy access:

If I remember correctly, you cannot get more than one rotation per game. What I mean is you cannot get 3 C's, but instead get rotation C if you leave at 4 extractors, 8 exctractors, or 12 extractors.

So if you want to leave before the tough enemies on Hieracon, it's best to leave at exactly 14, so you can get three C's?

Nice to see a guide for something simple that doesn't somehow get stretched over 3000 words. Good work!
