Step 1 - PTI Ents
Spawn "func_instance" entity.

$disable_pti_audio Value ---> 1 //This will disable Cave's voice, this step is optional.
Pitch Yaw Roll (Y Z X) // Skip this
VMF Filename Value ---> instances/p2editor/global_pti_ents.vmf
Fix Up Name Value ---> pti_ents_1
Entity Name Fix Up // Skip this
Step 2 - Triggering Pti ents
Spawn "logic_relay" entity.

Name ---> pti_trigger_1 // Optional

Add Output .

My output named ---> OnTrigger
Targets entities named ---> pti_ents_1
Via this input ---> instance:@relay_pti_level_end;Trigger

Hammer will show this invalid, ignor.

Now you must trigger logic_relay, i recommend using "trigger_once" or "trigger_multiple"

Step 3 - Publish
In ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Portal 2\bin you will find "p2map_publish.exe"

Click "Add" .

From this point you'll figure the rest, good luck .

I know this guide is 9 years old but does anyone know how to update published items? Is it just publish the same file with the same title or is it something else?

I have the global_pti_ents instance in my map, but when I try to upload the BSP I get the workshop support error.

This is at least what works for me. The "Steam must be running for this application to function!" problem. If you're in family view, go out of it, now it should work! :steamhappy:
