MLS-4X 'Commando' (Video Guide) / MLS-4X”
By Lein and 3 collaborators
In this video, I briefly go over some basic information about how the MLS-4X 'Commando' works before going into detail on how to use it against the Cyborgs' IFV. The transcript can be found in the video's description, but I'll also post it here.

Also, happy Liberty Day!

----------

MLS-4X 'Commando'

Defeating most isolated enemies with the Commando is relatively straight forward.

However, when there are multiple enemies present, a commando missile will target the enemy nearest to its default destination.

In other words: where it would go if there were no enemies present at all.

This is what that destination looks like.

We'll call this distance the default distance.

Until you become more familiar with this distance,

missiles may often target enemies you don't intend for them to.

One of the most difficult enemies to defeat with the Commando is an IFV.

An IFV has two parts that can be hit:

the front half

and the back half.

Only the back half can be damaged by a Commando missile.

Sometimes one missile will be enough to destroy it,

but often this will only disable it and will require a second missile.

Front

The front is the easiest place to destroy an IFV from, but you must stand close.

The distance should be roughly an IFV's length or less.

Side

Attacking an IFV from the side is all about getting the missile to curve into the back half.

To do this, angle slightly away from the back of the IFV,
and the missile will curve into it.

Parallel

The 'Parallel' method is a mix of the 'Front' and the 'Side' methods.

Relative to the 'Front' method, stand to the side and further back (about where a front corner of the IFV points to), and face parallel to the IFV.

Like with the 'Side' method, let the missile curve into the back.

This method allows you to stand further away than the 'Front' method.

Back

The more familiar you are with the default distance the better off you'll do against an IFV from the back or the side.

Stand about the default distance away (or slightly more) from the back.

Standing too close is an easy mistake to make.

If a missile hits an IFV but does no damage,
try changing your angle slightly to make the missile curve.

Thanks for watching!

Thank you! I saw a player use this with 100% efficiency, so I decided to try it myself. I found myself shooting 4 rockets at tanks without them exploding.

So I came searching and found this guide which perfectly explains the mechanics. Thank you!

A lot of the explosive weapons do their damage twice when playing multiplayer, hence it can be confusing what is required. If you want to play it safe, assume no latency and fire twice.
