Introduction
BIG BIG WARNING: Explicit Lyrics! Well, If you've played this game, that's no surprise.

The tl;dr
A while ago, I came up with this list using a few parameters to fit the game soundtrack because I wanted to listen and immerse myself into it without most of the LIS music that makes it classic LIS. Well, I finally bit the bullet and made this guide. For a lack of a better name, it's an alternative personal selection of more contemporary type music. Most of the songs are the ones I grew up with, and for the most part sort of takes me back to those days so I could sort of pretend I was a Blackwell student at the time, and now you can too! Just hook up your headphones while you play, because there isn't a mod you can use to change the playlist (although maybe, some day....).

Using Bosterm's Life Is Strange Complete Soundtrack guide to outline the list, each song was selected to fit the mood, the subject and whatever else was necessary to use more familiar music set in the game. All of these tunes are listed to fit the period of the game, which means that the selection ensured that you will have all songs which were released up until 2013 - or October 2013, to be exact. In a way, it could be used in a cinematographic perspective. Whichever evokes emotions, or a tongue-in-cheek double entendre effect; I narrowed down my playlist to these songs and some were difficult enough to choose that I may make an honorable mentions playlist for another time.

Additional caveats: I also tried to avoid similar songs or repeating artists, but sometimes it can't be helped if I couldn't come up with a better one. By no means could I replace every song in the game, but I chose most of the sections in the game I felt could do with a different perspective as much as I may find possible.

I've had to learn to be content with my final choices with this caveat. It should be easy to see which songs should fit. It's best to hear them through their full length, regardless of what length the original songs locked to.

Where to start:
Without further ado, here's my list.

P.S. Primus sucks! I recommend turning your volume up to 11.

Notes
  • This list corresponds to my AA hub I've been working on consisting of these links.
  • I'm aware the last 2 songs on Episode 5 are in reverse order. This was sort of an intentional fault of mine. However, it's possible that either songs could work for one ending or another...sort of. So, that's not really such a big deal.
