Most people think Butler has one use: Stop the evils from using their Action.
Those people are wrong.

The Investigative Butler primarily focuses around finding the Mastermind and Neutral Killer but also confirm if it is safe to hang a person accused of being Fool/Scorned. It does this by using the Occupy Immunity passive.

Note: Reaper is NOT occupy immune

There are 4 BD classes and 5 non-BD classes excluding conversion chance. This is why the Investigative Butler is so good. He’s and inquisitor for the Mastermind and NK.
Due to BD having the Minority of people that are occupy immune feel free to push on them a bit but make sure that they are not the Prince or a hunter that can potentially arrow you.

Using the Investigative Butler to safely execute a target:

Someone may be acting all foolish on the stand and did not claim and everyone suspects them of being the fool but your Prince is dead. What you should do in this situation is fine if they are Occupy Immune. If they are then the chances are they are most likely fool. If not you’ve found yourself a Cult/Unseen!

Using the Investigative Butler to find the NK/MM:

It’s just process of elimination. If you find everyone non-occupy immune then the last person you have not checked is the Mastermind. Same with the NK. The Investigative Butler becomes less useful when it’s Cult or Reaper. When it’s both he is essentially useless.
