Getting Started
Alright, so you've done the basic tutorial and are fresh out of the newbie oven, what now?

Get accustomed to the UI and explore it a bit, I may or may not be referencing certain places throughout this guide so it'll be nice to know where everything is.

Once you've done that, DON'T rush ahead and push that very attractive "Battle!" button just yet.

I highly recommend checking out the Story section of the menu first, where you can find additional, smaller but more difficult missions which will help you get accustomed to the more subtle game mechanics.

"But Ady, I don't wanna do even MORE tutorials! I wanna play!"

I know, I know, fellow growing noobling, but there are some mechanics in this game that are different from Clash Royale, you heard me! this game isn't just a reskinned Clash Royale! (Hard to believe huh?)
Mechanics to Remember
Some important things in gameplay you need to know!

I don't think I have to explain the fundamentals of the entire game here, you've probably done the tutorial and a couple of missions before reading this guide. If not, why haven't you done anything? The best way to learn is through experience you know.

Keep these in mind as you play:
  • Upkeep (That thing that prevents Turret/Howitzer spam):
When you deploy a unit on the battlefield, they have an AP Point Upkeep, which takes from the amount of AP you generate as long as the unit is alive. (No, Donald Trump, you can't build a wall of turrets.)

  • Walking and Running (You can't mindlessly drag soldiers to the battlefield and expect to win.):
When you're deploying a unit, it will attempt to run to the destination where you let go of M1
Once the unit reaches the destination, it will then walk forward across the battlefield and fire at any enemy it targets that appears in its range unless its a stationary unit. (Is it really a good idea to send a sniper to run into a turret?)

  • Squads (Don't go alone, take him, and him, and him, and him, and him)
By simply clicking multiple times on a unit without deploying it, you'll create a Squad, which can then be dragged onto the battlefield and will work together to take out enemy threats and work their way to the enemy base. (Please, don't deploy your soldiers individually.)
The Free2Play Formula
"Do I need to whip out my wallet to stay competitive?"

Mini Guns, compared to many other royale-likes (its a genre at this point) is actually kinda generous to Free2Plays, giving good-enough login rewards, 25 Gold per win (even more if in an Alliance with higher gold-per-win!) and allowing them to help upgrade their alliance without them having to break open their piggy bank.

Pay2Plays, of course have the upper hand...or so it seems.
As you play, you'll see that you're beginning to rise through the Leagues!
The games matchmaking system uses this to match you with players of similar rank.
This means that, although Pay2Plays can get stuff faster than Free2Plays, they'll usually be up in the higher leagues anyway, since their armies are usually overall stronger than the average Free2Play in the same League. This sorta proves that the game isn't Pay2Win, its Pay2SkipTime (and gameplay)

If you feel like putting the money you worked for into this neat lil game, feel free to do so, The developers gotta eat!

TL;DR: Players are matched against players of similar skill and overall power, you dont need to blow tons of dolla dolla, but feel free to if you wanna support the devs or help your alliance
TO BE CONTINUED
New sections and tips will be added to the guide soon!
Feel free to suggest any new topics I should cover, ask questions and constructively criticise my work. I want to be able to improve, as this is my first guide that isn't just a meme guide and is something I took time, effort and care into weaving together.

Copy-pastas and blind hate will be deleted.

[CURRENT] Version 2 (Updates to some wording and details to better reflect the current state of the game)

That shouldn't happen, the most it takes for me to find a match is a minute, trying messing around with the match settings.

To squad up, just click the mini multiple times to add to the squad before you deploy. I think ther'es a mission that goes over it.

Some of the minis can apparently 'squad up' but i have no idea how to do that. Can you tell me how to?
