Marshall - [ 4-slot ] - Lonestar Law Enforcment Patroller Frigate

In 1 collection by warpSpeedNyanCat
Nyancat's full house ships and stations pack
44 items
Description
First Responder of the Lonestar Police Department , The Marshall is quick , nimble and with a small signature, making it hard to hit.

Able to patrol and intercept crime whenever it happens , its ideal to catch pirates , unlawful smugglers or mining barges going over sub-light speed limit in an asteroid field.

Because of the massive high performance engines and small reactor , its ideally suited for non energy-consuming weapons like chainguns, bolters and rockets.

Unfortunately , sound cannot travel in a vacuum so the bad guys wont be able to hear the sirens but when they spot the blinking lights, its already too late!

A circle, by definition is an infinite loop of line segments. Therefore, anything is possible if you try hard enough and put time and thought into it. "Art is never finished, only abandoned." - Leonardo da Vinci

As for using Blender and such, there are a few conversion tools floating around to make 3D files into XMLs that Avorion can read. Searching the forums it shouldn't take too long to find a few posts for them. I haven't used one yet myself, so can't say how well they work.

And of course, beautiful work as always, NyanCat. The amount of effort, dedication and detailing you place into your every build is astounding. Thank you for sharing your builds.

well if by custom blocks you mean using cubes slopes and corners to make a shape , the save it in your template palette in the in-game build mode ...then yes, in fact if you look at all my ships you will notice that some share parts with slight modifications. as for blender and gimp, ...well this game use neither and i dont think you can import .obj or fbx files in avorion, and the avorion editor is actually nice and well made, i tried blender and i couldnt handle how bad the interface is ( i started with 3ds max so...) ... bu seriously, there is nothing special about how i make my ships, i just use the tools that the game give me thats all ..

also dump gimp its a terrible software , there is a lot more open source painting software out there that are milions time better...try sai, krita or even fire apalca... gimp is a sad attempt at making photoshop, which is itself a sad photo editing software trying to do non photo editing in order to cope for its identity crisis...

all while eating all of your ram just to change the color value of one pixel...

I'm new to the game, so I'm mystified at how you can attain some of the shapes out of what is provided by the game. Are you using custom blocks?

And say... if I were to apply my Blender 3D and GIMP skills would I also be able to create my own custom blocks and textures?

Oh, I'm sure you're not building these to show off. I just love playin' singleplayer games and designing things for HOURS (like in any sandbox-ish game ever), and this is just... it's all gorgeous!

A Bunny , dont be, just do it, if i had your mindset i would look at derpsuper's or black disciple's ships and do nothing :P

honestly, i dont build ship for attention, most of theses ships, i use them on the server i play, i share them if i find them useful , sometimes they are also designed on a dare, ( like this one actually)

sharing your ships also inevitably draw criticizm which is good because from that you can improve whats wrong and make better ships next time.

Everything you do makes me want to try my hand at designing my own ships! I usually like doing that, but some of the designs I've seen here intimidate the crap out of me.
