By Sir.Safester
A small guide breaking down the logistics of the 'Then I can walk 90,000 more! (Travel 100,000 metres)' and 'You've got a problem (Collect 10,000 pickups)' achievements. Also a small section at the end for the 'Q.U.B.E. Master (Play the game 500 times)' achievement.

Time trial level research and stats
I've become a bit of a completionist in recent months, looking to collect 100% achievements for many of the games I own. Mid 2017 I purchased Q.U.B.E. but didn't play it much until months later. As I progressed through the game and started unlocking achievements I looked at the task ahead to get 100%. Three achievements stuck out as potential grinds:
  • Then I can walk 90,000 more! (Travel 100,000 metres).
  • You've got a problem (Collect 10,000 pickups).
  • Q.U.B.E. Master (Play the game 500 times).

I delved deeper into what would be required and quickly logged some stats from each time trial level, including number of pickups, distance travelled and actual time taken. Lengths are approximate as are the times which also have 5 seconds added to allow for replaying a level and it is possible that a few pickups have been missed. All stats are based on the route taken for a good speedrun (gold time or better).

I then transposed this info into an hours worth of continuous play and got the following results, in other words, the potential maximum number of pickups or metres per hour.

3600 seconds (1 hour) divided by level time = multiplier.

Now it's easy to see which levels are best for getting these achievements in as little time as possible, Speedway has the most pickups whilst Space Race has the longer metreage.
'Then I can walk 90,000 more!' and 'You've got a problem' achievements
Assuming you started with 0 pickups and 0m and played without any major mistakes you would have to play 'Speedway' 1112 times for just over 12 hours to get 10,000 pickups. This would leave you with approximately 16600m which is about 28 runs on 'Space Race' for 1 hour, 13 hours in total.

Starting with 'Space Race', you would have to play 167 times for over 6 hours to cover 100,000m. This would leave you with approximately 7829 pickups which is about 815 runs on Speedway, taking around 9 hours, 15 hours in total.

It's now obvious to start with the Speedway option and you should bear in mind the amount of pickups and metreage you have already covered while playing the game normally, this should make the task a bit more bearable, however, when it's as repetitive as this it will become a grind.
'Q.U.B.E. Master'
On a final note, during the process of unlocking the previous achievements you will also unlock the 'Q.U.B.E. Master (Play the game 500 times)' achievement. Only levels where you reach the finish line count towards this goal. It is not awarded for launching the game.
