Weapon parts can be bought and put onto your gun, making it your very own. The default gun you get is an Assault Rifle called the 'Standard Tactical Knight'. Gametypes
this is a list of game modes in Blacklight: retribution:
  • DM - Deathmatch
  • TDM - Team Deathmatch
  • DOM - Domination (Team Capture and Hold)
  • CTF - Capture the Flag
  • KOTH - King of the Hill
  • NW - NetWar
  • KC - Kill Confirmed
  • SIEGE - Siege

DM:
In Deathmatch, it is a free for all, every man is for himself. The player that reaches the kills limit first or who has the highest score (kills) at the end of the time limit is the winner.

TDM:
This Game Mode is a variation of Deathmatch. It is played with 2 teams of 8 players each.

DOM:
Domination features 4 Nodes on the map, with fixed positions. To capture a Node, it must be approached and hacked. This gives a reward of 200 CP. During this mini-game, the player is defenseless, so there is a reward of 150 CP for agents standing nearby and protecting the player who is attempting to hack the Node.

CTF:
the flag is a blue or red container that, once grabbed, is attached to the carrier's belt. It must then be brought safely to the control point of the carrier's own team to capture it. If the carrier dies and an enemy walks over the dropped flag, it is returned.

KOTH:
a single Node will randomly spawn somewhere on the map. Agents are able to capture this Node for your team by standing near it while it is uncontested (no enemy players nearby). Agents near the node will be awarded 10 CP for each point gained for your team. When one team has managed to accumulate 17 points, the Node will be captured and will respawn at a different location on the map.

NW:
In NetWar, there are four neutral nodes in the four corners of the map, and a natural flag is placed in the center. This game mode is based on the amount of points a team acquires. Node points throughout this map cannot be hacked, but can be captured when team mates are standing near by. This captures at the same rate as in the KOTH mode. To capture a flag, you must return the flag your team's fully captured node, semi/degrading nodes will not allow capture until fully regained ownership. When the flag is dropped, the enemy team cannot pick up the flag for 10 seconds. The flag can only return it to its original spawn point if left dropped for 30 seconds or if captured.
Each flag capture grants your team +100 points.
Each captured node gives your team +1 point per second and 5 CP to yourself.

KC:
Kill Confirmed is similar to TDM, but kills only count towards the game objective if you "confirm" the kill. You can "confirm" the kill by being the first to walk over the body of the person whom you killed and collecting their "kill data", a symbol in the team color. You can also "confirm" any kills made by your teammates and "deny" any kills made by the enemy team. At the end of the round, the team that has confirmed the most kills wins the match.

siege:
One team will be escorting a player controlled Scorpion Tank. While the opposing team will try and stop the Tank from getting to the "finish line." The escort team will not only need to escort but will also need to hack barriers, to lower them, and repair the Scorpion Tank, using Repair Tool back slot gear, in order to keep the Tank moving forward.
The defending team will need to defend the barriers from escorting agents, and use depot items like the RL5 Armor Stinger, to incapacitate the tank long enough for the timer to run out, winning the match. The tank can only move along a predefined path.
Zen, GP, and CP
As Blacklight: Retribution is free-to-play, monetization of the game happens through the Mini Mart and the Customization menu where players can buy items to use in-game. To purchase items, players can use two different currencies: ZEN and Game Points (GP). ZEN can be bought from Perfect World for real money, while Game Points are earned for playing the game. Most items can be bought permanently, while others may only be available as a 'rental' option (1, 3, 7, or 30 days). To buy items with Game Points, a minimum player level may have to be reached. Buying items with ZEN bypasses this requirement. Some bought items can be equiped all the time, while others have to be unlocked from the Depot during the match for Combat Points (CP), a third currency. Combat Points are earned for capturing points, killing enemy players, getting assists, etc. Then, you can go to a nearby Depot and buy the items you have chosen under Depot in the customization for your character. Once you have chosen them, you can go in game and get them, whether they are miniguns, flamethrowers, rocket lauchers, or the prized Hardsuit.
Deport
There are several Depots on all maps where Agents can refill their Ammunition and Health, or purchase a variety of Heavy Weaponry. There is an initial standard set of items available upon starting the games, but this can be customized with Depot Items that can be purchased from the Marketplace.
Default Equiptment:
  • Health Refill
  • Ammo Refill
  • FT18 (Flamethrower)
  • Hardsuit
  • RL5 Armor Stinger (Rocket Launcher)

Purchasable Equiptment:
  • RL2A Swarm (Rocket Launcher)
  • GL-7 Bear Claw (Grenade Launcher)
  • T56 Trident (Minigun)
  • AT-D4 (Deployable Turret)
  • A36 Brimstone (Airstrike)
