How to start SKSE64 through steam and have the overlay working
By PV
No fancy edit and etc, I just want to pass on knowledge.

You need to have SKSE64 configured and working on your skyrim

1 - Go to the game folder and rename "SkyrimSE" to "Skyrim"
2 - Rename "skse_loader" to "SkyrimSE"
3 - Go to "Data" folder and if you don't have the SKSE folder, create one.
4.1 - If there's no "SKSE.ini" inside the SKSE folder, create one and paste this in it:
4.2 - If it already exists the SKSE.ini, just open it and paste the code in it

[Loader]
RuntimeName=Skyrim.exe

5 - Save it

That's it, now start the game through steam, hit play on the launcher and voilà, SKSE64 and steam overlay working together.

For the lazy ones, go to the game folder and delete the "skse_loader" and "SkyrimSE". After that, download this zip and extract it on the game folder: Drive [drive.google.com]

In reference to Kalypsos Comment:

It would be even simpler than that. Just rename the skse_loader.exe to SkyrimSELauncher.exe and the actual launcher to something different. Then hit Play inside Steam and the SKSE_loader.exe will be used. No .ini file needed. It works great. Steam Overlay works and your hours get tracked.

Steam just seems to search for the exe file with the right name and executes it when hitting Play inside a games page.

Instead of using the SkyrimSE.exe, use SkyrimSELauncher.exe. Rename it to anything you want to back it up. Rename the skse64launcher.exe to SkyrimSELauncher.exe, then you go into the SKSE file in Data. make a .txt doc, call it SKSE64, paste the command from above, save and then change .txt to .ini.
