Introduction
Introduction
First of all, welcome to my guide. Allow me to introduce myself first ;) I am Fliptab, I have been playing CoD for uncountable hours and I have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of experience. I love to share my experience with you, so you can become better, or perhaps the best?

Lets talk a little bit about my playing style since that's what this guide is all about, giving you an in-depth look of how I play. I am a quick, agile and very versatile player. These are probably the best attributes a Capture the Flag player can have. In Capture the Flag it's very important to stay alert and be at the right moment, at the right time. I will explain more of this later, lets get to the actual guide itself!

Preparations
Preparations
Alright, so the time has come. It's time to prepare ourselves to start. Ofcourse the first thing you would have to do is start Black Ops II. After that, get to your class set-up's.

If you want to follow my guide entirely it's important you erase all your previous classes, so we can set up the new classes. If you don't like these, sure you don't have to play with them but I highly advise you to use them along with my style of playing and the tactics I will reveal to you.

Once you have everything wiped out lets get started. Here's a list of everything you are going to need so make sure you have it.

PERK 1
Lightweight
This is probably the most vital 'ingredient' to this playing style. It's very important to be as quick as possible. Why this is so important will be explained in detail later on.

Hardline
Very important aswell, this will get you the extra boost both in-game(more&faster killstreaks)and out-game(more exp). When playing with hardline you will be amazed of how quick you can get your killstreaks.

PERK 2
Cold Blooded
The only PERK2 you will need, not much to tell about it, we're mainly using it for the no red name. Just hang on to it for now, I will tell more about it later!

PERK 3
Dexterity
Definitely an important 'ingredient' aswell. Really vital to be quick and agile. The faster you can aim, the more likely you will survive a gunfight.

Extreme Conditioning
Can't do it without this one. This perk is very important and is the key to this playing style. It's vital to be on specific places on time and you definitely need this perk for it.

Lethal, Tactical and Wildcards
Frag Grenade
I don't think I have to explain why you need this one.

Smoke Grenade
Optional if you like it, can be useful but can be unnecessary aswell.

Tactical Insertion
Very useful piece of equipment, which I wil tell more about later. This is not a must in this playing style but can be very very useful!

PERK 1 & 2 Greed
No need to explain though I will tell more about how and why to use these wildcards.

Attachments
Fore Grip
You probably can't do without this one, this is very important to have a better accuracy than your important but still remain very fast.

Laser Sight
You can play without this one if you want and replace it with anything else you'd like but I honestly find the laser sight real promising. Especially with these class builds, I think you need this one so stick with me will ya? ;)

Reflex Sight
Useful for those who find some iron sights annoying on weapons. We will mainly use this one for the M27 and tthe SWAT-556.

Quickdraw Handle
Very important when playing with assault rifles to remain agile. More on this later!
Attacking - intruding and capturing the enemy flag.
ATTACK
Sounds simple right? Well it's not! Taking the enemy flag can be found very difficult sometimes as you will encounter different situations were defenders or killstreaks are witholding you from taking it. Now the key to attacking is to think and play smart. Sometimes you can rush in and take the flag and capture it without a problem but most of the times it requires a bit of more effort.

I will help you through this process of intruding the enemy base and then taking and capturing the enemy flag. Lets start with intruding our enemies ;)

For every map this is different but there are a few very basic rules to follow. Let me tell you all about them! First of all, there are certain 'borders' in the map were if you come behind, you are more likely to find an opponent around the corner or have someone waiting for you to run into his crossfire. It's important to get familiar with these places because around here, you do not run.

Also a very important tip is to never run around a corner! You are no brainless zombie, play smart, play safe and especially play good. When running into corners, quickly see what's around with using Q&E(use crouch when possible for more accuracy). Nothing there? Lets move on! Something there? Oh ♥♥♥♥! Lets break it down!

If you think you can kill him quickly, give him your best shot. But if he fires first and you panic, reacting slower than you should've done. It's crucial to take cover or he will probably be the one killing you. When taking cover it's important to stay there, do not exit cover immediatly as your opponent will probably continue spraying at you and your cover. Wait your moment, wait 1 or 2 seconds and he will probably stop firing, if you hear the reload sound; go for it! If not, just wait like 1 second more(trust your instinct on this)and then surprise him. 80% chance you will nail him on the spot. He will be most likely seeking his cover or engaging you which makes him the vulnerable target here, not you ;)

Now you know everything about intruding into the enemy base it's time to get the flag! Getting the flag can be an easy thing, unless there are campers around. Just work your away around them, they will most likely be sitting in the same spot everytime so just remember where your enemies are and strike when they are dumb enough to sit in the same spot twice.

Running with the flag is dangerous, overdoing this is stupid and messes up your entire k/d ratio. What most people forget is when taking the flag there are a few variables you have to consider. First are the spawns of your enemies. It's important to play as many as you can so you will get familiar with where the enemy spawns, but especially when! When luring for the flag keep an eye out for the enemy team, how many are alive, will they respawn soon or did 3 of them just died? It's important to wait your moment.

So when is it the right moment to go? The right moment is when atleast 2/3 enemies have recently died. Now don't be an idiot and just rush to the flag, you still have to be sure there are no defenders waiting for an easy target like you. In all maps this is different because sometimes it will be harder to defend but in maps like Drone you will probably find atleast 1 or 2 people defending. Just either work your way around them or kill them and wait for them to spawn again, they will either come back(they should be yours) or they will just carry on and get killed somewhere else ;P.

When you've cleared the enemy base it's time to actually get the enemy flag(remember to keep an eye out for the enemy team). Now once you have the flag, where do you go? If you do it right(trust your instincts!)enemies will spawn 3-5+ seconds after you've taken the flag. If you got an UAV up, take a look at where your teammates are and where the last few remaining enemies are. Now try to pinpoint where your dead enemies will spawn next, the more you play the better you will get at this. All you have to do is run the opposite direction and most of the times you will make a safe run. When carrying the flag it's important to stay alert and look around you, check every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ corner because the corner you won't, there will be an enemy and you will be shot.

Sometimes though, you can run into obstacles or you have to take a detour and your enemies will eventually catch up with you. This should be no problem, you can either wait a little bit and let your team do the work for you or, if you have faith you can go for it yourself, this really depends on the situation and map.

Attacking - your classes.
Weapons
So lets now talk about what weapons and attachments to use. I'm honestly not going to force you to use a specific weapon as everyone has it's own favorite. For this guide we will be using the MSMC. I am not going to talk a lot about weapons, Wittrup520 already made a nice guide about it which can be found here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=120784961

Lets have a look at our attacking class set-up with the MSMC.

Alright, as you an see I've chosen to not carry a secondary weapon with me. Honestly, it is not needed. If you play how you should be playing you shouldn't have to switch to your secondary. If you are out of bullets all the time you should play a bit more passive. Don't spray, just don't.. Along with the Fore Grip on your weapon you really don't have to. It takes about 2-5 bullets for you to kill your enemy so there is no need to spray like an idiot. You should be saving your bullets at all time! Now along with the laser sight your accuracy will greatly increase, this is very useful for these close quarter combat situations. It's not always wise to aim down the sights, therefor using the laser sight attachment can be found really helpful, and live saving!

Now lets talk about the perks we are using. Lightweight is really crucial when carrying the flag and is a must for this tactic. Then we have Hardline as our second perk 1, trust me on this one. If you are a good flag runner you won't know what to do with all your killstreaks. Sometimes you will be camping in base just because you have so much killstreaks to spend, isn't that amazing? (:

Perk 2 is useless for this class set-up so I want you to forget about it.

Then we have Extreme Conditioning which ofcourse, is important. It's vital to run as long as possible, when carrying your combat knife you can almost run twice as far. Becareful though, running with your knife equipped will most likely get you killed. Last but not least we have Dexterity. Like I have said before, it's crucial to be the first one aiming and/or shooting. With Dexterity equipped you will rock their socks!

Now lets get down to the lethal and tactical equipment and such. There are a bunch of options we have so lets break them down;
- Tactical Insertion; I usually duplicate this particular class and carry TacIns with me. This can be so much fun sometimes xD You can get yourself 3 easy flag runs if you are doing it properly. Use it wisely because if enemies find them they will be waiting until you spawn. Yes, it's lame but that is the risc you have to take. If enemies are on to you, just switch back to your other class without TacIns

- Lethal Grenade; Very useful to eliminate defenders around the enemy flag.

- Smoke Grenade; Can be used to distract enemies defending the flag. You can either throw it on the flag, or somewhere else. Most people will look directly at the smoke as they are expecting someone to walk through it, so this can be used for great distractions.

Defending - keeping enemies out of your base.
DEFEND
A lot of people confuse defending with camping. Sure, a lot of people camp and tend to say they are defending while they are not. But here in this guide I will show you how to defend like a boss. When defending, a lot of different variables come to play. You will learn all about them in this paragraph ;)

Lets get down to the basics of defending, most people think defending is for the noobs but I have to correct them. It's definitely not! Defending is just as hard as defending, perhaps even harder. They key to defending is to not stay in that one particular spot. Move your ass around and you will see that defending can be quite rewardful too. Now lets get to it!

When defending it's important to analyze your enemies, remember their steps, remember their equipment, remember what routes they prefer. Defending is about anticipating on the enemy. It's your task to out play your enemy, which can be very difficult sometimes ;) Now defending is not just about camping around the flag, it's not at all! Camping around the flag can be quite stupid actually. If you decide to camp around the flag, atleast do not sit behind the flag. Try to stay infront of the flag so when the enemy decides to take it you won't have to catch up with them. They will most likely be faster than you so don't bother camping at the back of your flag, it's plain stupid!

To be a proper defender you've got to watch your enemies. You have to take proper locations and switch reguraly to prevent enemies from getting close to your flag. To be really succesful at this you will have to guess where enemies will be comming from. This requires a little practice and perhaps a little bit instinct.

So in the end defending comes down to being at the right place at the right time. If you do this right the enemy team will walk right into your crossfire and you will easily kill all of them. Do not forget to most important thing in defending is keeping enemies out of your base, not killing them inside of your base. Keep the danger out!
Defending - your classes
Weapons
It's time to discuss what weapons to use to defend. I have my own two favorites which I advise you to use aswell. If you're not familiar with it, you should play more often with them. Unless you really dislike them, you can take any other AR you like. But for these two class set-up's I advise you once again to use the weapons I chose.

Lets have a look at our first defending class, this is mainly for the more open maps such as Turbine. Though you can use both classes anytime you like. Anyhow, sometimes one class just works better in particular maps than the other.

So you can see I've chosen to use the SWAT-556. This weapon is very, very powerful. Shoot once and your enemy is dead, guarenteed. I have picked the Primary Gunfighter along with it to make it even better.

As you can see I have a Red Dot Sight on it, this just only because the standard Iron Sight sucks ass. I do not advise you at any time to use a Red Dot, you should get used to playing without an Iron Sight. Though for me it didn't worked out with the SWAT-556. So if you want, you can replace the Red Dot with anything else you like. Fast Mag or Surpressor is probably the best option to go here. Now along with the Quickdraw Handle you are still able to react quickly, I think this piece of attachment is vital on Assault Rifles, especially in Hardcore mode. And last but not least there is the Fore Grip again. This thing matches really well with burst rifles, their accuracy is beastly good. You can shoot what you want, but it'll remain accurate as ♥♥♥♥.

Now I have chosen to carry a secondary with me. This is pure because the SWAT-556 isn't ideally in CQC. You'll see many people dancing around like idiots. And from up close, they're hard to hit as you'll probably only have 1 time to shoot. So in these situations, the Five-Seven can be really live saving.

You can switch out Hardline with Lighweight if you want, really depends on your own taste. Though it would make total waste of creating the following class;

Then there's the second defendig class, mainly build for the CQC maps such as Raid.

I don't think I have to tell you everything again. Same story, different weapon ;) Though I am going to tell you a little bit about the M27 itself. It's a real powerful weapon though you should watch your ammo. You'll find yourself reloading pretty quickly so save your ammo!

What do you think about stock?

I find them pretty decent, however I believe I did not need anything else in the class so I choose the red dot. Worked really well for me, however it might not do the same for you :P

Derp, didn't even think about it, thanks. What do you think about M27's Irons?

Like I said, everybody has his own taste and play style. With the MSMC class I have stood plenty of times 38-0, 28-0, 32-0 and scores like 26-1, 45-3. So don't blame is on the build, blame it on the person using the build.

Because if you suck playing along this guide and the builds I provided, this play style isn't made for you.

Terrible builds

This was a good shot at explaining CTF for people that have very little time in COD series. I think its elementry when it comes to the skill level of a competition player. I have real strategys for this game type, but I would charge to teach...You might want to do some deeper insight and charge since you have a bit of time. Question, how do you get the SS in your article?
