Prelude
This guide will list information on all of Crawl's playable monsters.
All of the images in this guide and some of the information present in this guide are from the Crawl wiki, but we're added to the wiki by me (xnaut117).

Any place "???" is used where a number should be are numbers I have not properly measured yet, but these will be added soon.
Evolution Tree
This tree explains which monsters are able to evolve into which. The monsters' vertical position represents the level, top being level 1, bottom being level 4.
The colors underneath monsters represent which monsters they can originate from purple meaning they can be obtained with either monster.

Could you update this to include Gaben and the Tax Man? I know it’s rare for them to show up, but it would be nice to have some information on them. Also from what I’ve seen Mimic deals 50% of the hero’s max HP, though that’s just from my experience so take it with a grain of salt.

does anyone just kinda look at the beast and think of the names Stumpt gave them. if you don't know who is that their YouTube channel that played this game from beta and gave most of them names.

Hey i'm not seeing a lot of the secret statue monsters. Think ya could add a segment about what monsters can spawn as statues as well as the secret JEB statue?

I seem to remember that only the center of the demon lord's attack will stun
Pinhead Larry  [author] 24 Feb, 2022 @ 7:56pm
@ThatOneOtherIdiot, when many monsters in the game attack (with area of effect), you can breifly see white rings on the ground. Some rings will instead be red, and being hit by a red ring will always stun
ThatOneOtherIdiot 24 Feb, 2022 @ 6:35pm
I know that I'm commenting on a really old guide, but I feel that it should be noted that for the Demon lord enemy, the drop attack seems to only stun if it hits more than once, so they have to be kinda close to where you are when you drop.

the Horned Beast is literally the Capra Demon from DS. even the movesets are quite similar

go to the wiki page on monsters https://crawl.fandom.com/wiki/Monsters , I re did that entire page my myself before making this guide, and I added citations to where I found monster names, Only 1, the Nameless Knight, had no name I could find.
Flip 2 Sep, 2019 @ 10:20am
Did you make those names up or are they the actual names for the monsters? If those are official, where did you get them? (Great guide btw)
