if I enable Steam support, game doesn't detect it even with the patch. If steam support is disabled, input buttons doesn't work
This guide may work for some, mostly with the PS4/Logitech remotes but it doesn't look like it works with xbox controllers, cause I tried and the other commenters also could not get it to work.
However, anyone that still has issues, go look at the guide Marvel Ultimate Alliance Mega Troubleshooting/Fix Guide, and follow it exactly. All you do is download a little program and target it at the program, and modify the buttons that are not working correctly(all of them pretty much except B button). There step by step has pictures so it's very easily to follow and is the ONLY thing that worked for me.
and btw, the program is not like xpadder or something that you run with the game, incase that is a turn off for some. It just injects an INI file in the directory that overrides the controller issues, showing us all the the devs simply just don't give a d*mn to fix it all.
you tried as i said? leave only generic support tic on , everything else off

Activision is a giant pile of shit company that can't even get controllers right on a 10 year old game.
